Aside from the obvious McDonald's M on the dragon, any other manufacturing marks on any of the figures?

The Blue Dino is Allo from the Dinosaucers! Any thing in the image of a Dinosaucer is very rare and probably worth something! He might be a Bootleg of some sort, but it's still cool! Any markings on him?

:)

Sorry for not sharing TM info, guys. Will update this as soon as I get home.

Hm, intriguing URS, I'll have to do some research on Dinosaucers. It is a pretty neat little sculpt. :D And, yes, the Allo sculpt does have lots of TMs actually, including a ©.

The dragon figure is a "Dragonette", a European McDonald's toy. Pretty cool, i collect some McDonald's-branded stuff here and there. I'm a bit jealous, that's a pretty neat little line. :)

Also-Dinosaucers!! Crazy. Did you get all of these in the same lot?

And is that Monkian an eraser, or is he made of stiffer plastic? There's a few kinds of Thundercats minis out there.

Dinosaucer:

Wow, now I'm really intrigued about the blue man-dino... I did a quick search of the Interwebs (including eBay) and can't find any hint of Dinosaucers made in this size/scale which is approximately 2.25". If it's any help, I got the figure from the UK. The TMs on its back are equally mysterious:

© 1988 / CC TELECON / INC CE

The sculpt is of good quality with minimal flash and decent detail. It's made of a "brittle" plastic. We've got ourselves a little mystery that's definitely worth solving.

Thundercat:

It's exactly 2.5" tall and made of hard -- but not brittle -- plastic. TMs are:

© 1986 Telepix, / L.C.I.T. WOLF

Dragon:

It is about 3.25" at the tip of its tail. It's made of a hard, but flexible plastic. TM:

K1 (on bottom of left foot)

Pink Woman:

1.25" and made of hard, extremely brittle plastic.

Well, there were officially no Dinosaucer toys released in the States. Galoob was supposed to release some figure sets, but they dropped it, and Glasslite in Brazil made some though. Other than those two, I didn't think any toys were made of them anywhere else. So really, whether there were or not, you still have a very rare piece there.

But this is the Clencher. :D CC Telecon actually stands for "Coca-Cola Telecommunications"!!! Coca-Cola owned The Show and Characters via Columbia Pictures since they owned them too at the time. :woot:

So it's possible that this was some sort of U.K. Promotion piece. As I'm sure the show aired in the U.K. for they even released a couple VHS tapes there in the 90's.

I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid. :D

:o

URS, you're right! I saw that about Coca-Cola on the Dinsosaucer Wiki page last nite!

The show and its characters were actually owned by the Coca-Cola company and featured a logo for Coca-Cola Telecommunications. This was because Coke owned Columbia Pictures during the production time period.

Wow. I also saw that Alex Bickmore (Intergalactic Space Bunny) actually has 1-2 Dinosaucer figure for sale at the moment. :D I'm going to point TGB to this thread and see if he's ever heard of these minifigs. And now I'm not sure what to do: It definitely is a minifig and therefor fits the criteria of toys I collect and I love rare stuff like the next collector, but I also know that there's some Dinosaucer collector out there who would LOVE to have this figure and would take it for walks, tuck it in to bed at night, and generally slobber over it.

:D

Maybe I'll even drop Alex Bickmore a line... :woot:

galthisan, I think you are exactly right about the little pink figure being a Kinder Egg. However, the Thundercat does not move. I suppose it's possible that other minifigs in the same line do, but judging by the eBay pick, it doesn't look like it.

The mini Thundercats figures didn't move, but they did come with weapons. It was a surprisingly awesome minifigure line, including its own little scaled-down vehicles and playsets, and a respectable number of characters.

Well.....I'd like to have the Dinosaucer. :woot: I'd probably never get rid of it either, just sit him on a shelf next to other things I'd never get rid of.

I believe Alex actually was trying to sell off his Dinosaucer pieces a few years back via eBay. I don't know if he succeeded or gave up or not. He always Wants WAY too much for the stuff he sells. And I don't think that's just my opinion either.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

That has to be for size comparison. Come on - you think the guy who lives and breathes MUSCLE and created a website and exhaustive theories regarding the spread of colored MUSCLE figures, the co-founder and contributor of Toypedia, isn't going to recognize a Kinnikuman kinkeshi when he sees it?!
