I'm sure this has been asked a million times before but a quick search didn't bring up anything. Also I did consider putting this in the marketplace discussions area but there doesn't seem to be much activity.

So, I'm not far off completing my Series 1 and 2 collection and I've amassed around 50 or so swaps. In your experience, what's the best way to sell bundles on Ebay?

Is it better to bundle them in colours or just a big mix?

Does it help not to have duplicates in a bundle, or are people generally trying to collect multiple colours of the same monster?

Is it better to separate series 1 and 2?

None of my swaps are rare or anything so I guess that should be taken into consideration. Let me know if you have any advice!

Cheers

I'm not an expert on MIMP by any means... pretty much any advice I would give is based on my experience from selling other mini figs.

If you have the patience and time, try smaller lots.  If you make the lots small enough, then you will catch the buyers that might see one or two figs they need... as opposed to a huge dump of figures.

Also - do your due diligence on what has previously sold.  While occasionally misleading, looking at the closing prices of older auctions can help solidify your target price and perhaps what figures to highlight (even common figures will have some that sell better than others).  Looking at older auctions doesn't just indicate price - but will help you identify trends as to what figures are popular or are selling.

As far as big or small lots - individual figures or whatever... that's just a question of how much tolerance you have for putting in extra time in listing and perhaps relisting items.  If you just want to move the stuff and don't care much about price, then go bigger with your lots.

Of course, all of this is only my opinion, but good luck with everything!! : )

My main advice, as someone who gets wound up by eBay sellers on a weekly basis, is start the lot prices low. Not that £1 per figure crap that most people seem to do, but 99p for the lot and let them find their own value.

Sound advice! Thanks both!

I'll probably combine the two and make bundles of 5 to 10 with a starter bid of £1 :)

On a side note, I think I'll be fishing around in the marketplace soon as I'll need help completing my collection without breaking the bank. Only 9 needed now.

Thanks a lot!

Are you going for one of each sculpt? If so, you'll find them here more than likely. If you're going for uncommon colours, then it's more than likely you won't find them here nowadays.

Just one of each sculpt for now. Plus I'm trying to complete my Mini Boglin collection which is a far more gargantuan task.

After that, who knows? I may be tempted to start gathering colours heheh.

Hey mate

I have a load of spare series 1 and 2 MIMP and mini boglins. I'm also in the U.K.

I'll PM you and I'll try and help you towards your collecting goals bud
