It always bugged me that the #3 Tiger figure wasn't actually stripy (I only discovered they were sculpted on when I recently acquired this one) so I've had this repaint in mind for a while...

I was looking at my unpainted Skull Grotess repro and decided that I wanted him to be different from the regular issue... but how? After much deliberation I hit upon the idea of painting the Japan exclusive dragon laser beast as a homage to the Japan exclusive dragon transformer: Deathsaurus. Inspired!

Here he is (just a 'laid on the scanner' job - different angled photos can be found via the link underneath)...

Several Doctor Who custom figures I've produced recently...

A concept basic black outfit for the sixth incarnation of The Doctor. It's based on comments Colin Baker has made in interviews over the years regarding what he would have liked to have worn in the role (as opposed to the 'explosion in a rainbow factory' he was given) plus some creative liberties of my own


The fifth incarnation of The Doctor (played by Peter Davison) as he appeared in his final moments during "The Caves of Androzani" before regenerating.


The tenth incarnation of The Doctor (played by David Tennant) wearing his tuxedo as featured in episodes such as "Rise of the Cybermen"/"The Age of Steel", "The Lazarus Experiment" and "Voyage of the Damned".


And on the subject of the tenth Doctor - a special figure of my friend cosplaying as said incarnation which I made as a birthday present for him...


The ninth incarnation of The Doctor (played by Christopher Eccleston) wearing his blue sweater - bizarrely, this outfit variant has never seen an official release in spite of being such a simple repaint

Everybody seems to like that one... naturally, he's just the one I simply threw together from leftover scrap parts rather than a piece I actually thought about and put any real effort into... always the way

A simple repaint of the regular sixth Doctor figure to match the outfit he wore in "The Trial of a Time Lord" story


The current Doctor made a guest appearance in this week's "Sarah Jane Adventures" (a children's spin-off series starring a former companion of the Doctor) but his usual patterned shirts caused problems for the different cameras used by the SJA crew so he had to wear this new plainer one for the occasion...


...and thus with a little paint I've become one of several customizers on the various DW forums who all jumped on this particular bandwagon

There was a year long hiatus in the show during the sixth Doctor's tenure but Colin Baker would still occasionally appear in character for TV interviews even though he'd grown a beard. It does allow for a fun little obscure custom variant though...
