But if that is the case... it means that Adam could still end
up paying closer to the final price, when you could argue that
it may have sold for a lot less!

I was looking at the two 'zero' feedback bidders. One of them
was only bidding on three auctions from same seller (these peru
aucions). Where as the other one is bidding on lots of different
auctions from toy related themes, so from this appears to be a
collector...

Sorry what i meant was, for example the hunchback there was two bidders : - adam and the zero feedback person.

Going back it should be $20.07 last genuine bid as obviously if zero has no intention it should resort there.

Whoever they are or in fact it could just be one person with multiple accounts is a very strange individual.

But if that is the case... it means that Adam could still end
up paying closer to the final price, when you could argue that
it may have sold for a lot less!

Well taking the Hunchback for example.
The seller will see that Adam had a maximum bid of US $90.07
now why would they knock off $70 when they have the opportunity
to get up to $90 if they re-list?

On the hunchback there were 'two' zero bidders bumping up the
price. As mentioned in my last post, one seems to a collector:
o***r ( 0 ) - they are bidding on 15 items.

I guess it depends on the good nature of this seller. Who has
bought from them already? Good experience?

I'm livid but i'm also annoyed at how annoyed i am over it, lol. this hobby shouldn't get to me like that but i had my heart set on that Behemoth.
It's just so frustrating how these things work out.
I got my yellow Peru Great Beast for under £10 or so, & now £80 won't even secure me a red Behemoth!?

I gotta take a step back from mimp collecting soon! :D

Totally dude, as soon as something like this happens it begins to take the fun out of the hobby, to an extent paying over the top for these figures can ruin the hobby too, I payed £45 for my orange ganesha (have i mentioned that yet :) ) but that wasnt half as exiting as getting my series 2 ghost and cerberus for under a tenner. I cant see why the demand in MIMP at the moment and the days seem to be gone when you can grab a great bargain.

Good points guys. for the record though, it wasn't me bidding on the hunchback. I only have the one account & decided to put all my resources into winning the behemoth even though the other two lesser figures were nice colours.

Haha, no worries. :) Yeah that's my max bid where you've correctly put my name. It was a very high max just in case but i honestly thought i had it in the bag for way cheaper! Oh well, it frees up my finances for the other figures i want off ebay i suppose.

I wouldn't blame a known collector for opening as new ebay account to keep everyone from knowing who he is.

However these have a deep stench of being shilled. Zero score, new account and has only bid with this seller.

Aside from it being totally unnecessary & underhand? All the big MIMP collectors know or know of each other by now anyway so apart from the obvious competition on lots, there is no need for devious behaviour imo.
I'm more incline to believe these were shilled mostly by the seller anyway.
After what he got for the Cockatrice, I don't think he wants any going for cheap anymore.

You're right Aikola, it does take the fun out of the hobby, i'm afraid. Btw, you never got around to replying to my PM?

Really? Underhanded and devious?

There are a few people in this forum who have been called out publicly for what they spend on MIMP.
It wouldn't suprise me to hear a couple of them made a new account to keep that from happening.
Now instead of you damning them directly for how they choose to spend their money, it's more of a general damning of the entire community. Or better yet, we go after the seller and claim shilling.

While I understand exactly what you are saying PimpNugget
if we were all to behave in such a manner (which yes we could).

Do you think that would be the end of the community? Complete
shutdown of communication, no sharing of photographs (because
people would identify what people won)?

Obviously we don't know all the people bidding on Ebay. There
might be people not even registered on forums...

Well, that's another bunch of Peru lots consigned to history & not a zero feedback bidder in sight! :)
Is this good work on the sellers part or realization that people aren't as stupid as previously thought?

I actually had a second chance offer recently on the red Behemoth as the winning bidder never paid. unfortunately i had to decline the generous offer of $130 for it. :D

Anyway, back to todays lots. Some went for 'high' but that's just normal demand now, i believe. If people don't mind my being nosey, who won what?
I lost out on the green witch, which would've been nice as it's one of my favourite characters to collect & i didn't bid on the purple Ghoul either which was a pretty cool fig too with it's colour.

Hey Dazz,

Did you actually buy the Purple Peru ghoul?
I just recieved a second chance offer - thought you should know in case you paid for it or as a warning to other collectors who have payed and may have been sent similar offers.

Also did you ever hear back from Neil? Sadly i have not and i have had to file a complaint with paypal, which i have now won (nice to have the money back - but would have prefered to have the MIMPS and not get messed about.

Also who won the cool pink bigfoot? - i forgot to up my bid, school boy error. Though i've said before peru is not really a field i'm in - just thought the pink Bigfoot looked as Peter Griffin would say "Freakin Sweet!"

Hey Bob

Yeah its me and my bloody paypal to blame, they were ever so patient with me, but had so many paypal issues (think someone has been in my account) i had to ask to cancel in the end, such a shame as i really needed it but thankyou for the heads up anyways!

Same thing with me, i had to open a paypal claim, after communication ceased just after i paid, i waited and waited but nothing turned up and no reply to my emails, i hope the guys okay!

That guy has had several ebay accounts from what I remember being said on here. Its daniele falasco / anna-45 again. Its about his third or fourth ebay name now. Don't know why he does it though.

Yeah I made a deal with anna-45 to buy 60 winged panther and then she wanted to do it off ebay but I wouldnt and then they put the auction up they raised it from $1.00 USD per figure to 2 euros and then slapped a 36 euro shipping charge on it and it was under a different ebay seller with no ebay history. I flatly told them (whoever they are) that I would not longer be making the purchase because this isn't the deal we had agreed too and they then asked me to pay the 4 euros it cost to make the auction.

What I thought was weird was it wasn't even buy it now, they wanted me to bid.

I don't understand it or what was going on--could someone try explaining or catch me up on what is going on here?
