As I got another skeleton dino the other day - a documented one I was thinking of taking a picture of the ones I have to share with everyone else who might be interested. I know a couple of people here collect them too so anyone else thought of putting a photo of theirs up too?

Theres hardly any photos of this series, can understand not everyone liked the dinosaur series and therefore isn't interested in the skeleton versions even if they are rare and so on. But would be nice to see everyone's collections who does like them.

Plus the forum has been a bit quiet the last few days so maybe a new topic would be welcomed I don't know.

I'm more than happy to share a picture of my collection. As you say there is precious little known about this series, and I think collectors who are lucky enough to have some of these really have a duty to share the knowledge.

We have been trying to catalogue all the colours that these figures are available in, that thread is here.

But there's no substitute for images, so here is my collection, which represents half of all the SS dinos that were released:

Attached File  SSDinos02.JPG   93.51K   100 downloads

There is one among us who has an almost complete set of these, but don't bank on seeing a picture of those any time soon, he's not really a community-minded fellow :unknw:

Awesome collection mate, and thanks very much for showing the photo! Yeah I know who you're on about, says he has the biggest collection in the world but again I wouldn't expect to see a photo either. I'll photo mine and get a picture up. I've only got 12 but there are a few different to yours.

I really like these figures, shame sometimes the skeleton paint either fades or comes off but the one I got today is really perfect when the skeleton is showing:)

I thought I'll try and get this thread going again to see if we can get photos of all 48 SS dinosaurs.
Here's my collection gone from having 11 to 37 in 3 weeks.

Loving the 6b pic Chris - you've started me on my journey now and once those three guys arrive I hope I can bag others in the near future, especially any that aren't in your picture

Nice pic, yeah I've got 6 you don't have I think. Still no one can tell what the other colours are for monoclonius and chasmasaurus. Weird that :-D

Yeah, that chasmasaurus I have a picture of, oddly enough. Someone bought it on eBay a while ago in a cheap lot of dinos and I saved the picture.

Well, my first SS Dinos arrived today and all I can say is I wish I'd caught onto these guys earlier - love them! I always liked the standard series 6 Dinos, but these have much more appeal. I've been surprised by how clear the bones are too.

On a side note, I've since picked up two more SS figures off ebay, one I need and one a double, so if anybody needs a purple Caveman and has a 6b figure I need as a trade then PM me.

Oh, that green Pteranodon is beautiful. Never seen that before. Whereas I've owned 3 or 4 magenta Pteranodons.

On that thought, I wonder if we have enough info now to be able to say which SS dinos are the rarest and commonest? Some, like magenta Pteranodon and caveman, seem to turn up all the time.

I'd certainly back up the part about the magenta Caveman being quite common. He's in each collection pic above and I already have him in a double!

Like Howard I've never seen the alternative colour for the monoclonius, so I would have to say this one must be the hardest to find and maybe a pink Triceratops and green pteranodon equally difficult to get old of.

Green Cave man is one i'd never seen before too, I knew it existed but never actually seen a photo of one. That ones got to be rarish I guess?

I'd agree with the pink cave man and pteranodon, I've had 2-3 of each of them before now and pink mammoth. Plus you see more dark green ankylosaurus figures too I reckon than the lighter green one.

I'm not interested in collecting them exept i may keep the purple sabre tooth as looks kinda cool. Dunno if much here is rare or not just thought it would help you more knowledgable dino mimp folk out
