What are the markings on the monkey's back?  "Goma '12 China"?

Blue thing was from the Fisher Price Space Series it fit on other figures heads.

What are the markings on the monkey's back?  "Goma '12 China"?

 

Soma, makers of endless PVC figurines since the 70s.   The '12' might be a production code, I've had this ape for 20-30 years.

 

Blue thing was from the Fisher Price Space Series it fit on other figures heads.

Soma's never had the license for Donkey Kong or King Kong. It's probably just an ape. Not familiar with the series though, I only know of their human stuff like ninjas and pirates, their robots, and the knockoff Barneys.

Soma's never had the license for Donkey Kong or King Kong. It's probably just an ape. Not familiar with the series though, I only know of their human stuff like ninjas and pirates, their robots, and the knockoff Barneys.

 

Don't forget Soma's finest line -- the wrestlers!   Yeah man, so many assortments....wrestlers, ninjas, trolls, princesses, Power Rangers, adventurers, robots, cowboys, spacemen, Robin Hood, mermaids, My Pet Monster, fantasy, etc.

 

Their Barney line is called 'Love Dino'.  lol

Yes, that's the set, thanks!  It's actually called 'Zoo Animals', heh.  Also found out that Soma did a line of SF knockoffs called 'City Warrior'!   B)
