Hey everyone, I'm planning a trip to Japan next year. Where would be the best place to score some good toys? I am already planning on going to Akihabara, but that's the only place that I can think of where there would be a large amount to see. Anyone have experience with travel in Japan. Thanks!

Loads of us have been to japan many times I’ve been 7 times now.
Nakano Broadway is classic mini fig heaven aswel as games, cards, seals old candy whatever you want.
Koenji is also rad Drodd and 1000 toys are there aswel as star case.
Just down the road is toy cats another good shop.

Nakano is a must for any toy collector visiting Tokyo. Especially if you're hunting vintage. In Akihabara, there is the flagship Mandarake (8floors of bliss), as well as the vinyl figure shop Mandarake CuCoo.

Shibuya has another big Mandarake, it's underground. Also don't forget to check out Parco. A huge mall/shopping complex. The flagship Medicom store is also in Shibuya.

If modern Japanese merch interests you, don't overlook Bic Camera, those stores are all over the place and they're not camera stores.  Japan still has Toys'R'Us too!

I'd like to make a trip to Japan at some point, hopefully by the time the country's a little less resentful to foreigners.
