I honestly can't recall a faked claw. Sure, there's repros...but I haven't ever seen a repro passed as genuine. That soup kitchen stuff from ebay a while back wasn't fake either as far as I know. It did sell didn't it?
That soup kitchen stuff was 100% fake.
Thread number one where people got all offended when it was even suggested it could be fake.
http://www.littlerub...c=166591&page=1
Thread number two where the same seller put up another one and the guy who won the first one posted about how he was now very suspicious of the claw he bought from thread number one and that he was going to contact the seller. He never replied again nor did any the people swearing up and down that it was real in thread number one.
This is quite troubling to me. Don't like it at all. Wish I had kept a purple muscle for direct color comparison. But I don't care for color muscles so I didn't keep after my set completion. I like color Kinnikuman but not American muscles. Claw is the only character i wanted all colors for display. Anyway, for those keeping track and lists please remove my name from the "has a PurpClaw list" (if you have not already done so)until further notice. I'm going to try to get ahold of SoupKitchen.

Then a third purple claw popped up from the same seller before his account was removed from ebay.

So yeah. I guess if you really wanted to you could assume all those purple claws sold by one guy who happened to not accept paypal then eventually go on a rant about why ebay and paypal are crooks before getting his account terminated were real. Then you'd also have to assume Vader who won the first one and saw the second auction then said he would contact the seller decided to never update us again because he just didn't have time over the last year and a half and that his friends here who swore it was real haven't had time either since that second auction even though they post in other sections.
I however choose to assume that those last three were fake and the people involved never replied because they just didn't want to and that there is a possibility this brand new seller could be the same guy doing the same thing four times in a row.
I admit fully it could be a real auction and a real claw but zero feedback and an enormous attempted BIN price show that he knows what he's selling so bad pictures and a short description seem odd at best. I do hope it's real and that whoever wins it enjoys it but recent history makes the chances kind of slim.

To add to PlasticSoul's response: I never fail to bring up the soup kitchen because it sounded like complete BS at the time (and was). Also I enjoy beating dead horses.

Looks like this could be a "rule of two" auction folks!

Those pictures are awful enough that it could be a repro. Can't wait to see what stupid price this figure goes for *gets popcorn*

I am gonna guess that the auction will end at 368.42

The pictures I saw from the seller next to other colored claws....looks straight up muscle...
Seems to me that there is a stigma on purple claw lists. unfortunate. I havent noticed any other "rarer color" muscles get skewered. And all the repro purples i have seen have been lighter in color. Even Godbeasts....and all the rest. I haven't ever seen a dark matched repro.
The LISTING may be a scheme- may not be... but I believe thats a real muscle purple tone.

Yeah three fakes in a short time period will make anyone skeptical. Maybe the winner will show it off on here, though probably not after last time...

Probably secretive because some people think they can buy everybody else's collection with the right amount of money.

That's why I don't post a needs list for Muscle anymore.Probably secretive because some people think they can buy everybody else's collection with the right amount of money.

I got tired of the only people responding to it being those who had reverse engineered it, and wanted to bug me about buying figs from my collection.
I had no idea people did this. Gross.

I had it happen once. The guy kept pestering me about one piece and I finally agreed to trade it to him for another piece I needed. Then after all that, he never completed the trade with me (neither of us had sent).
