I did a quick search and couldn't find any discussion of these awesome little toys... easily could have over looked it as this specific line is up to volume 18.

I was walking around the international district of Seattle during a food truck convention and stumbled upon a cool little anime/Japanese toy shop. It was tucked away, almost a hole in the wall. I walked in and an older, almost elderly lady was running the shop. I complimented her on the store but received little more than a verbal acknowledgement she was aware of my presence. I was fascinated by all the figures and in awe of its existence. I was with a very good friend and didn't want to keep them waiting so I did a quick 5 minute search and found a shelf of these guys. I grabbed two of the figures that caught my eye and took them to the counter. I purchased them and asked her the name of the store. She responded in a manner that clearly evoked that she didn't know what the hell I was asking. I stepped outside to look for any kind of name but none existed. I walked back in and asked for a phone number showing her my phone (not that it will do much good in all likelihood). She jotted it down and handed it to me. I took off and was happy with my new acquisitions.

I am sure some of you are aware of this line but figure others are probably not. Just want to share. There are varying types of figures including jets, tanks and the like. The figures I got stand a little over 2" high, a flexible rubber and are articulated at the head and shoulders. They come with accessories including a gun, shield and stand. I love these figures (very Battle Beast-esque) but think a couple improvements would have made this line/series that much cooler. The weapon (gun) hand is molded with and fixed to the gun and snaps into the forearm/wrist. This isn't a huge deal but the gun (wrist) simply rotates on one plane much like a joint would. The shield itself snaps into the side of the left arm rather than being held, also not a huge issue. My biggest gruff with these two figures is the joint between the head and chest. It does not snap in but slides in and has little stability. The head will rest well in position if left as a display but does not withstand much movement before falling off. The boxes themselves are pretty neat. I would recommend checking them out if you haven't already. I got mine for $7 each which seems to be around the going rate. Maybe a little pricey if you wanted to go all out with the line but I was happy paying it for just the 2 figures.

These are the two that I picked up.

Yeah I like this series. I don't own any figures yet, wouldn't mind a gun cannon or guntank. But I like the style, it's almost super deformed, but the proportions aren't as chibi.

I've been thinking of ordering some myself; glad to hear that the material is flexible. Anyone picked up any of Bandai's NX edgestyle line? Those look similar, with more articulation.

Well, it's five years later! I finally got some of these guys - ordered a sealed box of Series 16. These things are great, and would def. appeal to LRG fans, being little and PVC.

I actually collect some of the Kamen Rider Converge figures. Good quality display figures!
