i would do here a guide of all the countries and states where BB/LB were sold, and how they were packaged. i will begin with my country, France, so please do the same for your countries and states (for usa). it would answer questions like "were BB/LB sold in alaska and hawaii?","which BB were sold in netherland, in spain, in deutchland?"...maybe we will be able a day to do a map...

in france, BB from 1 to 52 were sold by 2 figures by package, called "les dragonautes".the 3rd serie was not sold here.then LB from 77 to 88 were also sold in 2 figures' package, always called dragonautes.LB from 89 to 100 were sold in single package, with 1 figure, his weapon, his shield and his sled. 101 to 112 were not sold here.
playsets and chariots were not sold in france.

The following products were sold in Germany:

Battle Beasts #1-28 and Laserbeasts #77-88 were sold on a 2-figure-card. They were both easily called "Battle Beasts". And thats it! No sleds, no chariots, no bases, nothing......... :)

I know for a fact that the Laser Beasts #77-88 were sold in Florida. For Christmas one year my Grandma sent me about 6 packages with the LB's in them. I think they were sold as "Shadow Beasts" but I'm not sure.

It was kinda weird, I remember my friends really freakin' out that I had BB's with an orb instead of the traditional heat patch... I had all of them except the Brain Mouse and the Condarassin. I had doubles of the Parrot and Anarchy.

I THINK THE LB WERE CALLED "SHADOW WARRIORS" AS I'VE SEEN A FEW AUCTIONS OF THEM CARDED. i don't remember seeing the laser beasts here in il., but then again i stopped collecting them, and started playing more video games.

wish i would kept my old collection! :)

i think some pics of the packages would be nice to add.

There was a rumor that some of the Eastern States carried some test cases of the LB's with the sheilds. There are other Rumours that they were also available in Canada through Toys and Wheels in select provinces for a very short time (i remember seeing the 2packs for the first 12 LB's for sure back in the day). We got everything but the gift-packs, the mail-aways and the higher LB's. i swear some were found in Canada, although stores from the Vancouver area always imported stuff....so they may have come from there and not a proper Canadian distributer for toys. We got the 3 bases, the 3 pull back's and numbers 1-76BB, 77-88 LB's for sure.

Well from what I know the Shadow Beasts (this was thier tag line) were sold in only a few select cities and areas in the US. I assume this was due to the waining sales of the series 3 beasts and a slightly higher cost for the new toys(?).

Canada had some US carded and also some English/French carded figures (I'll post a pick of the two i have).

Les Dragonautes was Strictly French release

Beastformers was the name carried in Japan

I do not know is there was any special releases for Africa or Mexico/S. America.

That's basicly what I've got, lol.
Also there are a few VERY rare and nearly impossible to get Chinese Knock-offs.

I'm in Illinois and I found the 2-packs of the "Shadow Beasts" (#77-88) in stores here when they came out. I'm sure it was just some stores either ordered them, or didn't. Or most of the stores that did, just didn't order a large quantity.
