Hello,

When I was a kid I used to eat a lot of cereal and consequently used to have a lot of free toys from said cereal. As a result I ended up "collecting" the "Cool Dudes" series of Boglins from Kellogg's Cereal.

I actually wrote a letter to Kelloggs, encouraged by my dad, to complain that my friend was eating 500g boxes and I was eating 1KG but still only getting one Boglin. I actually completely forgot about the letter, not really expecting a reply anyway, until I received a parcel in the mail. Upon opening the package I was surprised to find 2x Gold Boglins inside as well as a return letter from Kelloggs explaining that they were happy that I was enjoying the cereal and toys and that they were sorry that I was missing out.

The two Boglins that I received were Cool and Cone (though I've read that only Cool, Chill, and Chump were released in gold).

The reason for my post was just to enquire whether they were that rare or worth anything?

Rich.

Hey bud, yep gold Cool Dudes are worth a fair chunk of change, compared to the standard coloured ones, which are worth pence. Maybe you should try and posts some pics of these figures

The site you read that on is incorrect, all of the Cool Dudes were released in gold :)

Yes, the gold Cool Dudes are worth considerably more than the ordinary versions, depending on condition I would value them at between £10 and £40 each, however there is considerable fluctuation and it would be hard to give a definitive value.
