SO I've never hired anyone before for any sort of illustration purposes, so if I make any sort of gaffe or faux pas by offering an insulting low amount of money or whatever I officially apologize in advance.

It comes from two places, one lack of knowledge of what may or may not be acceptable, and two my vastly limited budget.

SO take those into consideration.  Please.

Here is the deal, I'm a pretty good artist (lol at least in a limited sense), that is suffering from MASSIVE artistic block (may have something to do with all the family issues over the last year) so I need help from a fellow illustrator.  I give up on doing myself.  I'd rather have someone else help me at this point.

I need relatively simple drawings of faces.  Bold lines.  That can shrink/ and or expand without loosing too much of the detail.  All in some sort of VECTOR format.  Depending on how the first couple turn out, I may need an entire series of faces/ or heads.

I'm willing to offer $50 per head.

HOWEVER - you've got to be willing to put up with my fussy BS (because what I see in my head sometimes, and what I can vocalize can be vastly different).  Although, sometimes, I might already have a sketch that I've done and I just need someone to help me flesh it out or finalize it.

Lastly, if I purchase the image from you, then I purchase/ own the image outright.  With permission to reproduce said image etc.  No, I'm not making T-Shirts... but I wanted to I could.

If your interest has been piqued, feel free to PM with more details.

Thanks guys!

You should explain what style you want. Different people do different art so if you are looking for cartoony then say so or if you are after realistic portrait stuff or comic book style then say that. Give an example of a professional who you would equate to using the same style. For example the way you are describing stuff it sounds like you either want Charlie Brown artwork or Frank Miller Sin City stuff. Be annoyingly specific and you will waste less of your time and other peoples time as well. Are you gonna pay them up front with a strict deadline? Will communication be strictly e-mails or do you need someone you can speak with on the phone? The fastest way to get what you want is to be ridiculously clear about it all.

And no i am not saying this because i'm interested in the job. Sounds like it could be cool but i have no time at all. Just trying to help you and help your potential artists.

I appreciate the response PlasticSoul.

Let me see if I can help (and some of my vagueness is from of not being 100's sure what I want to be honest).

1.  The style depends on the design/ head... but probably closer to cartoony than not.  A good example would be when WhiteLeo posted a pic of some artwork he did recently... it was a tiger image.

2.  I dont have a stick deadline, that's something I'd like to discuss, with artist once I describe what I want.  BUT I cant imagine it taking a month to complete.  It really depends on how the artist prioritizes it.

3.  Pay on completion with final approval from yours truly.  And have the artist sign a standard release contract giving permission fro reproduction rights etc.

4.  Communication - I would like to be able to do BOTH phone communication and emails.

Additional specifics, I will be using this for custom balloon designs.  I hope that fleshes things out a bit.

Thanks,

PF

Hey - it's SHAZAM!!!  Nice drawing Stronium!

Here... I'm posting a pic to see this helps.  They are for balloons.  Obviously I won't be using Marvel Characters or their likenesses... I'm just using this as an example.  So you can see, it's kind of cartoony... I'd like to do some designs that are a little bolder than those Marvel balloons, but you guys hopefully get the idea.  It can afford to be more stylized than what you see in the pic... bolder.

If anyone is interested PM me.

Thanks,

PF

Hmm I'm still a little unclear exactly what you're actually requesting from a design perspective. You want line-art style illustrations like those Marvel characters, but not those characters; so what are you wanting illustrations of then? I can't imagine that kids would want made-up characters, so you're wanting animals, or classic monsters?

Just think it might help if you narrow the scope of your request a little bit, and having a more specific task also might help attract someone at the rate you're offering per illustration ($50/per for full reproduction rights is pretty low for anyone professional, tbh)

Oh, and here is Putin challenging you to a duel
