To clarify just in case, it's $60 per monster currently, not the whole set. :X

i did read the whole thread and was aware it was $60 per figure. i should have worded my reply a little better. thanks though.

Just to put the price in perspective, I have seen several mini custom figures sell anywhere from $10-$150.

Basic repros are $10-$25.
Halfbad's Cupcake kitbashes are $15-$25, as are the custom figures that Muscle Things casts.
Clawshines were $30 and Godbeasts were $150-$200 each. Both of which were original sculpts.

So while $60 for a custom figure does seem high at first glance, it doesn't when you factor in the price others are selling for and then factor in that these are coming from one of the original sculptors of the line.

If I was a MIMP collector, I would gladly pick up a few.

Absolutely agree with you Jkaris. We have to consider he's one of the original sculptors.
Rather we have to say: "He's THE original sculptor" as the rest, nowadays, are just history!!!

This sounds fantastic. Well done for organising this. I'd love to buy a set, but there's no way I could afford it. Still, I'll be waiting eagerly to see the results of this project.

Dan

BTW - my votes would go to Grendel, Jabalius/Beast of Gevauden, Bas Tcelik and Hairy Boggart.

Well with voting dwindling down, that leaves it as Grendel way in the lead, Talus second, and a five way tie for third place. Might go ahead and just call it now so that he can start work on them, no?

Hi KFM,
the Project started yesterday as I paid him the first quote.
I Asked him to start with Sciapod as a Pilot Figure because of its better position as standard figure.
I liked too the idea to start with Grendel but the strange position may confuse our opinion on the work he'll do.
So I hope to be able to attach some pictures in short time. ;)

He's working to sculpt the first figure that will be Sciapod as I decided to accord for it.
I take a look to this LRG website everyday and don't worry as soon as I have some news or pictures you'll be all adviced with my message on this thread.
In any case thanks to all for interest that seems seriously growing up.

How wierd, I was just looking at the MIMP unreleased images the other day & thinking how awesome it would have been to have the Banshee...and the rest ofcourse!

I wish I had seen this topic a long time ago.

If anyone ends up with a spare Banshee, I'll pay a pretty penny for her.

Well, we're rapidly nearing July with still no word...has the project hit a snag, or is it still going on Gorm?

Hi guys!!
Finally I've to give you some news and link some pictures of Work in Progress on Sciapod Prototype!!!
Enjoy and remember that's not the final stage but it has to be polished and completed, too.
This is just a tasting.

Wow, looks very nice for a rough draft! I'd buy one if it comes out looking like the original Mimp line. Let me know what i'll have to do to get one! Thanks!

the sciapod is amazing fede, thanks so much for giving this oppotunity to the boards. if there is a chance to make the other figures at another point in time i would be very interested.

in my opinion these figures should be made in the original shreddies colours, how does everyone else feel about this? if they are available in them 4 colours i would want a set in each colour.

just to double check, the number value and feet markings will be present?

You're welcome guys!!
I've to take orders later when all the figures are ready.
Yes all of them will have the NBR -- under foot and the point value in a circle on the back perfectly like the original MIMPs.
All of them will be produced by the Sculptor for a total of 15 missing by the Argentinian stickers and Bash Tchelik Extra by the Sticker Album.
I have to decide in how many colours they'll be produced, but it's sure the choice will be from original S3 colours Shreddies or BB to fit well with the others existing 9 figures.

Although these aren't based upon copyrighted M.E.G. figures, they are based upon copyrighted M.E.G. artwork. My best guess is that this probably won't be an issue, but I'm not an attorney. Have you had any contact with M.E.G. about these?
