Pics please.  I did a basic image search and I can't find what you are talking about.  Didn't dig deeper than that, just thought I would ask for pics instead.

The figures look pretty cool.

I can't stand pack opening videos.  I absolutely have to mute them.  I am pretty sure the presenter never once showed the back of the package, which may or may not have been a checklist.  I scanned down the comments and noticed lots of people correcting the presenter on the dino names.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up.  I might get some this weekend if the price is nice.

At under $2 I'll probably pick up a pack or two if I see them. Based on what I saw in that video, I can't help wishing they were a bit smaller and not painted, though.

I can't stand pack opening videos.  I absolutely have to mute them.  I am pretty sure the presenter never once showed the back of the package, which may or may not have been a checklist.  I scanned down the comments and noticed lots of people correcting the presenter on the dino names.

She made it sound like there wasn't any checklist inside or on the back. Which is kind of strange. And she wasn't sure what the last dino was called so she asked people to leave the name in the comments.

This made me think of the surprise eggs that came out with the first Jurassic Park movie. They had candy and a soft plastic monochromatic dino inside. Not sure how many different figures there were, but I seemed to get the Dilophosaurus most of the time. I'd love to see something more along these lines come back.

I can see the merits of monochromatic minifigures to collectors, especially collectors fond of nostalgia.  But you have to admit mono is a hard-sell to kids.

Besides, those figures have very minimal paint apps.  I can turn them mono in about 60 seconds each.

The first one is Gallimimus, so they are all wrong in the comments anyway.

Heads up. Get ready for 3-pack tubes and VARIANTS. I'm suspecting more than 15 varieties. Photos from ebay sellers.

Also notice that the pack for Indominus Rex is not "blind."  I guess this is the final boss dino of the movie. This particular figure is selling for $26 on ebay.

Man, those look so much better than the new offerings. I don't think I remember those, but I definitely need to pick some up for my mono dino shelf. the egg is spectacular too

found a cheap eBay lot with a Trex and Brachiosaur but it's in the UK :(

I did some more research and found out there were only four sculpts--the two in my pic and the T-Rex and Brachiosaur (which are the two I never got as a kid). I'd like to get them now to complete the set. Here's a video of a guy reviewing all four:

No problem! I'm surprised they haven't been talked about more often. I remember them being all over near me when the first movie came out, but I never really see them turn up in random lots or anything.

A UK seller has a sealed box of 24 for $150 OBO. So that's like $6/per, which is too much but maybe he'd take a low offer. That's UK calculations though since domestic shipping is free, shipping to US is $40 ;)

Totally never seen the vintage JP dinosaur eggs before, those are too cool. Not $150+ cool though. The brachiosaur sculpt reminds me of the hatchling that came with Tim Murphy, obviously not a duplicate though.

I haven't been to Walmart lately to check out the new line. Steve, you've missed that the bag you've highlighted with Indominus Rex on it is actually a 15-pack. It contains one each of all the unique sculpts in the line in assorted color schemes. Weird style of packaging but being a Walmart-exclusive line, I guess it didn't merit maximum effort.

Pretty cool to see a sealed box. Might be worth it if he accepted a much lower price and enough people wanted to go in on it, including someone in the UK to be able to use the free shipping. If 6 went in, each would get 4 eggs.

I guess that explains the $26/per bag.   Weird that it looks just like the blind bags.  Maybe tomorrow I will make it out to WM.

Found these at Wal Mart this morning. They were $1.98 each.

20150520_082036_zpszr24ncsk.jpg

My feelings powers paid off. I found the T-Rex and the Allosaurus

20150520_090235_zpskykddfnv.jpg

They also sold these in tubes (3 Dinosaurs each) for like $4.44, and a huge bag for $14. I did notice that the ones sold in the tubes were different colors than the ones that I got. The T-Rex I saw in a tube was solid green, while the one I found is closer to the movie color.

I got one of the tubes, and so far the most impressive of the figures seem to be coming from the 15 pack/bag.

Has anyone confirmed that there are (only) 15 total scuplts with 3 variants each (blind bag version, 15-pack version, 3-pack version)?

If this is the case, then I will go after the set.  If it turns out that there are some sculpts with one variant, some with two, some with three, or any amount of duplicates among package types, then I am out on this line.  As is, Wal-Mart is a PITA for me to travel to anyway.

A 15-sculpt set with exactly 3 variants each, with no duplicate crossover, is actually impressive.

This is a marketing design that I can respect and support.

Sadly I won't be picking up too many of these. Here in Canada, the blind bags are $4 a piece! I bent over and bought two of the bags and got the green Trex and I'm pretty sure that same mosasaurus the girl was showing in her unbag video. (I don't remember!)

I haven't been back to check the prices on the other packages, but I can't imagine them being much cheaper.

I'm guessing it's a little more complicated than a 15 x 3 = 45 piece set.

Just among the 3-packs, we see duplicates for some sculpts within the 3-packs and others with at least 3 variants within the 3-packs.

I would like to see if there is any consistency within the blind-bags or 15-pack.

It still might turn out to be a 45 piece set with absolutely no regard toward package type.

I doubt this, since 15 different dinos are not showing up in the 3-packs.

I guess certain dinos could be only available in certain pack-types, and there are 3 variants within those (blind) packs.

Either way, collecting the set (whatever that looks like) will be substantially more complicated than buying one 15-pack, five 3-packs, and fifteen 1-packs -- which is the absolute most I was willing to do.

EDIT:  Apparently there is at least one duplicate per 15-pack, so there may only be 14 sculpts.

18 dinos have been confirmed for the film, so it already sucks that all 18 aren't in the set.

There are only twelve figure sculpts in the series. The nine in the tubes pictured, plus Ankylosaurus, Allosaurus and Indominus. Only 36 unique figures total, but there's a plastic color variation between some of - at least two - the blind-packed figures compared to the tube/big bag figures. From Starsteam on JPToys, here's the brown rex and green raptor, with the single-packed variant on the left in both.

I purchases a big bag for my son at my Walmart for $15 ($1 per figure).  There were no duplicates in the bag, but there were color/paint variations.  Two Mosasaurus, Triceratops, and something like a Carnotarus.
