Manufacturing Error or Damage?

Just got this guy in a lot and noticed that his head is pushed down into his chest.  

 

Any idea if this sort of thing is post-production damage or a manufacturing error?

I think I have a couple of Muscles with the same kinked neck. Not the same figure though.

This type of warping tends to occur when the injection molding press is run at too short a cycle time, resulting in the thicker parts of the piece to not be completely cured all the way through upon ejection of the piece from the mold. As the rubber inside the piece finishes setting without the mold to restrict it's movement the piece will warp.

I agree with the above. Just a warp. Still awesome! I find these very interesting. That is why I collect them :)
