Aloha all, I hope this is in the right place for this.

TFW2005.com reports that a new series of Transformers keshi (AKA "decoys") will be released in Japan in January of 2016. The report states they are new, slightly taller sculpts of 8 characters and can be used as erasers.

I'm quite amused that they'll work as actual erasers on top of being generally cool, updated Decoy/keshi. Not that, if I get them, I'd ever use them that way!

There's got to be a Decepticon set coming up, either next or after a couple more waves of Autobots.

That's a real good news!

I prefer the chunkyness of the vintage ones but I can't pass on this one

very cool! I'm confused though that these are mentioned as being sold in capsules with a price of 92yen. I very rarely saw gacha machines in Japan that were under 200yen, especially none with figures in them. Aside from the fact that 92 is an odd price, so maybe they won't be in machines at all, but sold in capsules over retail?

I was wondering the same thing. I guess we'll have to wait for more announcements.

I have to imagine that there will be more. Decepticons, more Autobots etc. I dig these and I really hope they aren't too hard to acquire.

Thank you

Oh yeah, overlooked that. No way to know for sure with the lack of detailed info, but I suspect the 93 yen price is based on a retailer selling these gashapon at a discounted price with the actual in-machine retail being some nice and rounded off number like 100, something that would make sense.

I'll definitely be picking these up

They remind me of the smaller Kabaya Decoys.

I have some plastic bootlegs of a few of those sculpts in that lower image. these are separate from the traditional decoys correct? I wasn't 100% clear on how those were distributed in Japan outside of those Autobot or Destron boxed sets I see turn up now and then. I know over here they were blistered with certain normal TF figures.

They remind me of the smaller Kabaya Decoys.

They are candy box figures and totally different from the regular ones sold here in the states, japan only and sold with a piece of caramel in a small box. There were a few different series from kabaya.
