Hooray!  The next gaggle of rad little robots from Bandai is on it's way!

By the time I heard about these guys I had missed out on the first 3-4 waves but I lucked out and snagged a set of OTSU Vol.1 on eBay.  And now we've got Vol.2 in the pipe...

I love how these guys look.  And I can't get over how SMALL they are!

One thing I'm puzzling over though...  Should I take my chances on a set popping up on eBay or should I bite the bullet and buy them through AmiAmi?  I was looking at their ordering process and I was puzzled by the fact that even though I said, "Yeah I'll pay with PayPal" they didn't ask for my info and I don't like that shipping is TBA...  Any tips/suggestions?

I wouldn't hold out for eBay if I were you, but I'm well-accustomed to ordering from Japanese stores like AmiAmi. They didn't ask you for anything because payment's only made once items are ready to ship. They're a great store to deal with so you shouldn't really have much to worry about. The lack of shipping quote might be scarier when you're inexperienced, but it's probably only going to be another 3000 yen at most as long as you don't go EMS. Can't guarantee that it'll sell poorly enough to hang around cheap like the first Hagen no Zista Otsu did for... whatever reason.

Bit of a shame the Otsu line isn't as adventurous about variety of bodies as the Choco line was, but maybe it needs more time to get to that point.

Thanks for the info!  I bit the bullet and ordered a set through AmiAmi.  Yeah, the mystery shipping thing made me a little antsy in the pantsy but I think it'll be manageable.

I concur...  I WANT MY POOP TANK!!!

Welp!  Just like Baltanll said I got an email from AmiAmi that was pretty much, "Your item is ready.  It'll cost X and shipping is Y.  If you're cool with that proceed to checkout"...!

Easy, painless and now I can rest easy knowing I'll be getting a box of cool stuff in a few weeks.

Woo-hoo!  I just got my HnZ:Otsu guys in the mail the other day!

And the timing is perfect because Bandai is going to be dropping vol.3 pretty soon...

They're actually made of rubbery/PVC-esque stuff (a'la Z-Bots) and squeak a little when you move their joints.

And they're pretty small!  About the size of a 9-volt battery.
