Oh yeah FF3 is waaaaaay better than FF2. The amazing story, the beautiful music, the tons of playable characters, and the Esper summons were awesome looking. FF2 was good, but pretty corny at times. No way in hell better than FF3. Not by a long shot. Like comparing a Lambourghini to a Geo Metro. Im SUPER pissed that FF7 didn't make the list at all. That's my favorite game of all time. Top 100 my arse.the top 6 were predicted, but final fantasy 2 at number 9?!?!?!?! Final Fantasy 3 is head and shoulders above 2!!!!!!! they need to switch 2 and 3, then it would be good.

FF7 should be #1 in my book. I almost forgot about FFT. That game is great, despite the fact that it became super easy once Orlandou joined your party. Suikoden should have been on there too that game ROCKED! I would have liked to see Xenogears on there also that was a biotchin game. Why the hell is FFX on the list but not VII, X is crap compared to VII, hell X wasn't even that good, Chrono Trigger should be higher up, and no mention of any of the Suikoden Games? Virtua Fighter 2 but no Tekken Games? Where is FF Tactics? No Fire Pro Wrestling? I didn't see WWF No Mercy either, man that list blows...

I'm glad SMB made 100, but dayyyumn, you right, Nathan!!!Hm... no Zelda, no Mortal Kombat (not even Mortal Kombat 2), and most noticably no Pac-Man... yet there were dozens of games released in the last 5 years on the list that have questionable staying power. This list was obviously generated by 12-year-olds who have never even played Pong. Speaking of which, how the hell could Pong NOT be on the list?!
-Nathan
Pong, though not the most amazing game, has historical value, as in it was the first of it's kind. It paved the way to all these new fangled 3-D annoying, fall into the hole type games.
And MsPacman but no Pac man original? E-gad!!!

I was glad to see some things on there. Baseball Stars was a great choice, but it should have been higher. I think it was the first sports game that let you customize teams, players, and the season length. It was the best baseball game I ever played, until All-Star Baseball 2002 for PS2.
But Tecmo Bowl over Tecmo Bowl 2?! Anybody who played these games knows that Tecmo Bowl 2 blew away the original.
And where was Mortal Kombat? Everyone I knew was trying to get good at that game. It was the first time, and only time, that being good at a video game made you cool.
And to agree with Nate, where was Pong? It was the first home video game, and it was addicting as hell when you didn’t have any other options.
I was kind of surprised not to see Donkey Kong either, and that SimCity was on there twice. What’s the difference between SimCity and SimCity2000?
But I have to stick up for Ms. Pac-Man. She was WAY better than her male counterpart. They did a good job of explaining why she was better.
Interesting list, but mine would have been MUCH different.

Super Mario Bros. 3
FF 7
Pong
River City Ransom
The Legend of Zelda
........
I thought the top 10 was mad good, though, except I've neverheard of X-com. The reason FF 2 beat three was probably because it was a more revolutionary game, being the first 16-bit incarnation of the series, and 3 was an evolutionary step beyond it

X-com is awsome. Do a search for it and see if you can find someplace to download it. The game is old and the graphics are dated but the gameplay is awsome.except I've neverheard of X-com.
You have to manage your base(s). Defense, research, production, trainging your squad, Healing them after battle. Then you have to shoot down UFO's and go investigate the crash sites and try to caputure some aliens alive. As well as the aliens harrasing tht people of the world. Depending on how well you do your funding is either increased or decreased. I could go into a ton of detail about the game but you should check it out.

Oh yeah... why no Donkey Kong??? Look at how many games he's been in, and the original isn't ON THERE??!?!And to agree with Nate, where was Pong? It was the first home video game, and it was addicting as hell when you didn’t have any other options.
I was kind of surprised not to see Donkey Kong either, and that SimCity was on there twice. What’s the difference between SimCity and SimCity2000?

As for Ms. pacMan ... well.. here we go with the History factor again...
Pac Man came out first, so it's historically significant. It's like sayuing Frasier is one of the 100 Television shows, and not nominating Cheers.
But it is a much better game... I feel like a doofus playing it though... Couldn't it just be pac Man 2?
