toys r us had a few... and i've found some on ebay... but are there recommended places for someone in the US to pick up random gormiti figures without being touched in my bathing suit area on shipping?

well, as with most things also i'm not so much a collector as i am an appreciator. so i'm not really looking for mint boxes or anything like that. just stuff i can play with when no one is looking

The following retailers have been known to carry Gormiti:

Kmart, currently in clearence
Walmart, few and far between
Tuesday Morning
Marshalls
TJMaxx
AJWright
Marc's Discount Stores (Ohio)
5 Below

And didn't someone say some drugstore or another carried them?

Through here Apricot. Havent' put them in the store yet.

Philly, it is the Cavern of Roscamart (?)

I also have the forest, the Island of gorm, and others. Just can't remember at the moment. Will have to pull them all and check.

I have the Murena playset and the Eagle pack playset also. Will start a thread with lists and pics as soon as I can.

All the US Gormiti were released in Europe first, but not all European Gormiti made it to the United States.

If you're interested in buying some Euro Gormiti, click the link in my signature :(

I think the only real difference is the cards, whether they are English, Italian, or whatever. Otherwise the US series 1 repaints do not have the glow in the dark or color changing gimmicks that the European releases had. The UK did not have these repaints, so you won't be getting the cards in English for these unless you buy the US release. Also there are alot more figures released in the UK and Italy than we have so far. US series 1 has 30 repaints that aren't in the UK. US series 2 is a combination of UK series 2 and UK series Atomic, with the exception that UK Atomic had the Lords repainted and the US series does not have the Lords repainted.

If you're talking about regular sized Gormiti, that would be the Titanium series, which is a recent Italian release.

Otherwise, there are also larger Gormiti (eg 5 inch) which also have articulation.

I have lots of US gormiti and a few from the UK and I can attest that the plastic used is slightly different: European gormiti are a bit softer & more rubbery than the US-released, although the difference isn't large.
