Been on the fence about selling my Beasts lately. I've got almost every single figure released in North America, and haven't spent a lot of time trying to obtain what I'm missing. It may be time to move them on to another collector!

Trying to gauge some values so I can be fully informed before making any decision on the matter.

I have:

All 3 of the first series including variants. I'm only missing 7 weapons from series 1. (Stupid story about that.) Only missing two laser beasts and a couple of weapons for a complete set of NA-released Laser Beasts. All figures are in good/great shape with rubs.

The Wood Beetle and Shark bases, as well as all 3 chargers.

Several bootlegs, including the red bull Canadian War Monster. (No GBB.)

Canadian Battle Beasts poster. (English and French writing.)

General ball-ark estimations based on non-ebay prices, if anyone has any! Not looking to part it out if at all possible, as that just makes for a big hassle given the size of the collection.

Hahaha I know, right?!

I do love them, and haven't really decided if it's what I'm doing or not just yet.

I'll be keeping my customs no matter what. Rest assured! ;)

I started when I joined the site. (Part of what brought me here.) That was 2012. I actually completed my master set of 1-76 including variants in 2016.

I just haven't really done much with them since completing them. I haven't really sought anything out that I'm missing, like the laser beasts or the remaining playset.

I love them dearly, without a doubt.

A friend asked me to sell them to him recently, and I didn't give him an immediate, "no." So that is what started this thought process.

No crazy story or medical problems or anything like that.

I'd say it would be worth around $1500... But...

To be honest I think this would be a really hard sell in a complete lot like this. You don't have anything really extraordinary like any of the higher-end laser beasts, Gumball figures, or SD keshi (which would be highly sought-after to most collectors). The figures you have are readily available it just takes time to buy them and most people that are collecting have most of these figures.
The few times I've seen people try to sell their collection that mainly had battle beasts and not laser beasts, they didn't sell well and usually had to be parted out. I tried to sell my set years back and didn't even get a nibble.

You never know there might be somebody wanting to get into the Hobby and just wants to buy it outright, but sadly I don't think that will happen. If you were in need of money and wanted a discount quick sale I think it might sell, but that's not the case.

It's funny because this is exactly what I say to everyone trying to sell their sets! hahaha!

It's funny because this is exactly what I say to everyone trying to sell their sets! hahaha!

It´s true and it also goes for Battle Beasts ;)

Guess you know this yourself as well although I can imagine that if you´ve not been very actively looking for Beasts lately you might´ve to get the feel of the recent pricing to get an estimate of the lot.

I´ve to agree with Eric on the rough $1500 estimate for a lot as such, although a bit more insight in the bootlegs you might have could change a couple things as well as the main condition of everything because in the end it´ll come down to details like that to most collectors as you know.

Individual prices for Beasts have been skyrocketing quite a bit lately and I remember a couple months back when I saw some Series 3 Beasts listed for prices around $30 each (not the known harder to find ones) listed on Ebay thinking that´s nuts but it seems to have become sort of the standard. This would mean that a Series 3 complete lot (in good condition) would be worth around $700+ but of course that´s not gonna happen. This is a bit strange knowing people do buy single complete Series 3 figs at 25-30 each but once they´re offered as a set, even at a lower number like in the $500 range (lower on average) it´s still not a quick sale. So it´s mainly about the numbers that add up to quickly in most cases for collections like these. If you´d like to get a nice amount individual sale would be the best solution and in case you´re planning to offer the whole set as such to your friend it´s up to you what you feel is acceptable knowing that a sale for a full set like that will be tough.

Looking at it based on recent prices for lots like that I think you´ve to look at a price of around $250-$400 for each Series of course missing some weapons might sound like a minor thing but in the end finding loose weapons can become a costly effort as well so that´s something you´ve to keep in mind.

So let´s say there´s around $800-1000 there for the BB collection. The Variants do add a serious number to this total as well. Adding the playsets and vehicles maybe adds another $125-150. An incomplete Laser Beasts set (lower LB) missing two beasts and ¨some¨ (how many) laserguns is in the $300-400 range. The ¨several¨ Bootlegs part is impossible to rate not knowing what´s in it exactly and what the condition is. And finally the Canadian Battle Beasts poster is depending on it´s condition worth around $75-125.

In total you´re than looking at a grand total of $1300-1650 excl. the value of the Bootlegs.

Hope this helped and good luck with your decision because if you ever plan to re-buy them you´ll never ever get them back for that amount if the current price situation continues.

ps. In case you might decide to sell the Canadian Poster and your friend is not interested in it let me know.

Agree about parting them out.  I had my entire collection listed for over a year?  And pretty much zero serious offers.

I broke the collection up at the beginning of the month, and they have been selling great.

Good luck to you!
