Hi all, a question. Do MIMP figures fade? I ask because an Orobas (blue) that was listed on eBay appeared faded, greenish in spots. Here's a link to the ended auction

Does this happen to certain figures?
Yes, it was my listing, and no it's not relisted. I'm just curious about the color change. Thanks!

Sunlight is the most common cause of MIMP fading. Other things like bleach could cause this kind of fade as well.

My best guess for yours would be sunlight, but I am not totally sure.

This doesn't look a sunfaded to me - more like a bleach or chemical stain, possibly even colour transfer from another figure that was green. I'm not surprised it didn't sell though as the staining is quite prominent.

Have you seen green fade on a darker figure before? I've seen green marks on yellow, but not the other colors. I might need to test that.

Not sure if I have or haven't to my recollection, but the stains appear too spread out and 'speckled' for sun damage.

Yeah that makes sense. Now I need to know!
