In case anyone did not see the reveal, Series 2 is made up of 3 figures. It is missing a Giant this time as we test the waters with our Evolution line of figures.

series2.jpg

These are just the first test shots from the mold, we have a little work to do to get them just how we want them but I think its a nice series to put out and should complete Series 1 well given Ulric (Series 2) and Sheldon's (Series 1) ability to work with each other as figures.

We are hard at work on Series 3 which we hope to get out maybe by Summer

I saw these at Designercon and they are awesome! Not nearly as awesome as the Evolution Goliath though. That figure just rocks!

The Goliath is indeed killer! I loved the first version from 2013, but being in PVC with the articulation/Glyos compatibility just takes it to a whole new level.

I did a blog post on both the Goliath and Series 2 test shots, including some close-up pics:

Im loving the evolution Goliath and test shot Series 2 figures, Mark! Nice work dude.

If Goliath goes over well then yes any of the big figures are in play for Evolution (Takeshi Sumo and Tembo Jiwe being the next in line) because that is the only way they are financially viable.

None of the small figures (2" and under) would be Evolution, they would remain static standard minifigures. Just stating that as there has been some confusion that we were somehow abandoing the minifigure format in favor of action figures.

Series 3, we are aiming for next summer but might slide to next fall so we can promote Evolution and Series 2 across the country in the Spring. Series 4 is also in development.

I think it's a smart play. If you have to do larger piece in multiple pieces anyways, why NOT do them this way. I look forward to seeing Tembo Jiwe.

I like the direction you're going. I wish more people would do the same thing and mix a single toy line with articulated and non-articulated figures. I never understood why it always seems to be one or the other. Almost everyone i know who collects mini-figures collects both kinds anyway.

Do you have any plans to add more hand sculpted figures to the line like you did with BigMantoys wonderful Treegar?

If the opportunity presents itself, when we did Lee's figure we came up with the idea that every year there would be a intergalactic tournament which pulls a MWOTR member and a member from another toyline ala some kind of Mortal Kombat scenario.

We did not do one this year because we just did not have time with all the Cons we had on our schedule and the work on both Series 2 and Evolution in secret.

So in short yes we have plans, and we have a short list of names we would like to work with. One key component is we don't want to saturate the market so only a limited number of pieces are made and that is it, and it has to be wrestling themed. A lot of artists have issues with that as making a figure is time consuming so they want to keep selling it forever.

With Treegarr we found a happy middle as he sculpted some additions onto the already existing Treegarr figure, and we made as many as 1 mold would make and that was it.

Such awesome pics as always Frank, and you guys can see some of the changes we made in production (he has his fu man chu points back, the detailing is deeper, etc)

We got word last night that the shipment is on its way from China and we will be making him available early next week. Date and Time to come shortly :)

First come first served, demand appears to be pretty high and we have had a few indie stores asking to buy so we will see if the number we went with in production was enough

OK guys they will go up on Tuesday at Noon CST

I am not putting any limits and its first come first served, I ran enough that I think everyone who wants one can get one but since its Glyos too I have no idea how many collectors might show up vs our regular minifigure customers
