Showcase #4:"Junk" Battle Beast Figures
I always loved the idea of commisoned painted figures like custom painted Kinkeshi or Sofubi etc
While corresponding with Beastformers I came to the conclusion that it be a shame to just use doubles for that purpose. Seeing as the figures survived this long and as the years go by they become less available.
So my next option was looking for lots of Battle Beasts being sold without a rub, strong scrapes/scratches, not mint or with missing arms etc.
Since I have the 76 collection and some Laser Beasts I also thought it would keep the collecting alive by adding extra figures to my collection.
I acquired two nice Lots of „Junk“ Battle Beasts that I will use for future painted commissions. Many had missing arms or came with loose arms. Those with a peg I had no problem attaching to certain figures in order to have a whole figure.
This is the collection so far:
-26 "complete" figures (either mismatched arms or just not in "perfect" condition)
-1 #87 Shool with a missing left arm
-5 figures missing Right arms
-31 figures missing both arms
-11 sets of arms

Some arms had no more pegs and while researching: “How to repair broken arms on Battle Beasts” I came across the following two old LRG threads:

This method as I understood seems pretty easy however my problem is that those figures missing both arms do not have the plastic residue/left over inside. So it’s just hollow with the plastic being inside the chest piece (which according to the thread is much harder to penetrate with a needle).
So this are the instructions for “fixing” broken arms on figures with the plastic residue still inside and the loose arm having no peg:
1-Penetrating the sockets with the plastic still inside with a straight pin needle
2-Cutting the needle at the desired length
3-Penetrating the needle left over to the arm (minus peg)
This thread talked about removing the left over residue:

Any other tips or suggestions for attaching arms without the pegs etc?
I have a Laser Beast #87 Shool with a missing left arm that I need (especially because it has Fire sign and the other Shool I have has a water sign).
In general I also need loose arms so if anyone has any please PM me
