I recently stumbled upon these on the discount chain Five Below's website. According to the card back there are 2 sets of 3 available. They are nearly the same material as the originals. Reasonably priced around $3.50. They are sculpted with smooth contours (no sharp angular shoulders, jawline, eyebrows, e.t.c). I was completely surprised to discover these in this way. Since I see no recent threads for these I was curious if anyone else was aware of them.

I’ve not seen them in person, only the WWE sets.

As a collector of the original MUSCLE line, I'm conflicted about these.

on the one hand, they're cool sculpts. On the other, I hate that they used the MUSCLE branding. Especially since they didn't release any Kinnikuman figures with the brand extension.

Been thinking of picking up a set of these. As well as the WWF Muscle. Maybe Mattel is going to treat the Muscle name as a style of toy. I wonder if they'll introduce more licenses. Although these Street Sharks Muscle could be a test run to see if anyone is interested. They seem pretty scarce out in the wild.

Yeah, I kind of see it as Lego with all the various lines they have proliferated into. That part does nor bother me a bit. Personally, I hope to see more proliferation of this sort for the express purpose of getting more cool minifigure sculpts!

I believe the Sharks were developed by Super 7 but released under Mattel, after Mattel pulled their licensing deal.

Super 7 lost the license to use the name M.u.s.c.l.e. Mattel And super 7 worked together for the wwe line because Mattel owned the rights to the wwe and wanted to distribute the figures themselves. Which is why the Mattel and super 7 logo is on the package. Super 7 had nothing to do with Street Sharks, that was completely Mattel. Since matters owns the rights to street sharks. If super 7 was involved the logo would have been on the package.

I love both sets of these but in my opinion the WWE guys are not muscle, they are nowhere near the same scale. The street sharks are much closer in scale though.

The WWE ones remind more of the old larger dog toy wrestlers in look, just smaller monotone versions.

Mattel pulled Super7's license?    I noticed Super7 is calling new things Keshi rather than Muscle and got a couple newer packs of The Worst now called Keshi.    A friend tipped me off about the Street Sharks at 5 Below.   First one I checked had none but another had all of the same 3 pack so I got one for myself and sent another to my nephew for a Halloween/Samhain gift.  I noticed they're Mattel but have no sign of Super7 on them.   They were $3 opposed to the usual $6 so I figured Mattel just cut out the middle man and made their own for a more marketable price.   I got the four three packs of the newer WWE and they're disappointing.   Disproportionate big heads and low simplistic detail, and not nearly as cool looking as some older ones I've seen pictures of that included the Legion of Doom.
