So here are may latest two mini figure sculpts. I worked up Mag Malicous on Saturday and Mas Mano on Sunday. These guys are destined for silicone and to be cast in rubber, ASAP.

The pictures really don't do them justice, I suck at taking good pictures.

Here is a refernce pic for size (they stand right at 2 inches tall (kind of the new standard)

I dig 'em.
What did you use to sculpt them?

*****
PS: I am pumped that you're casting them in rubber.

I'm gonna presume that you used either a gloss finish nail polish, or a gloss acrylic to paint them with, after, to get that sheen?

Duplicolor vinyl paint- you can get it at O'Reilly's or Autozone, etc...

Yup that's the plan, they will be soft urithane rubber (more like keshi) and I hope to capture a good MUSCLE flesh, as well as some flourescent colors and hopefulyl some clear gradients... I am working on a three pack the next one is in the works...

My molds took a nasty turn last weekend :whoops:
But undaunted I will be making more tomorrow... I did however get a nice, smoke-gray-clear Mas Mano out of the debacle...

I really like the simple, but creative, design choice you made in making the hand's "feet" two more fingers; I've never seen that done before, but it makes perfect sense once you see it. Mas Mano looks particularly good transparent too.

I think the Mag Malicious would look really sweet if you dry-brushed some black/gray paint all over his surface, that way the recessed red areas will show through like lava fissures.
