The sunburst symbol offered as a chase in Japan can be put on the beast of your choice ... if you ever find one in new condition.

But the sunburst warrior in USA should be a different symbol than the japanese one. It was offered during the second style symbol period so I guess that it should be a second style too like the sun drawn on the cards and boxes.

I don't think Glock read your comment.

You are telling me that. There is no sunburst and the only proof would be one sealed in the package?

What are you trying to prove or say ?

It's confirmed the sunburst offer was during the production run where they had changed the rub signs to full color.
No full color burstsun rub has ever been found.

You can apply a real or reproduction burstsun rub on any beast to make it a burstsun.

Only White Leo in the burstsun giftset came with the burstsun rub applied.

Whoa!

Here it is

I don't know where you found this pic but there is my 2 cents about it.

a- It is a repro symbol
b- Or it is a japanese figure on which someone sticked the sunburst symbol from the chase card.

It can't be a US sunburst warrior as the porcupine is from the first series and US sunburst warrior offer only occured during Series 2 & 3.

I read lords other reply. I am guessing that someone stuck it on. I found him in a lot I purchased. They didn't know anything about him so I highly doubt he's real. How can you tell if it's a repo symbol? He's still bad ass and the leader of organic beets army haha,

Lord is correct. On the repro sunbursts, the sun is visible even when cold.

Only if I tilt it in the light. No more than a normal rub. Rubbing would be the correct term.

the japanese sunbursts werent done until the second and third series in japan, the sunburst set was all series three figures with color rubs except the lion I see no reason for them to change the sunburst in america if there were any here. any kid that got one woulda been too stoked at having the only one in town to ever complain

Are you sure of this ?
- the sunburst set was all series three figures with color rubs except the lion

I don't think that Japan had the color rubs at this time. The color rubs were introduced in the last wave if I remember well.

I'm not 100% I'd definately like to hear more voices the sunburst set was very late in the series though with the new phoenix box that had the other stone tablet half. it could have been just on the cusp of the change but I'm pretty confident that while the sunburst symbol came out in series 2 with the old symbols they put the new symbol on the rest of the sunburst set and left him and clear gator retro

In Japan they never completly moved to the color rubs. The color rubs were only inserted as chase symbol in the last waves. So I don't think that there are sunburst set with all color rubs. I need to check it back but I'm pretty sure that sunburst set has always been sold with first generation rubs.

He's telling that it ain't easy to confirm wether or not a rub is repo or not based on just one picture because as with most repo's they're produced to disguise their fakeness........ So the symbol looks 100% similar to the original one;

Starbusrt Rub Stickerfixer

I believe the only real difference to see wether your dealing with an original one is the different way it colors from black to its symbol that becomes visible. The repo one is showing much more colors during the fading process while the original one isn't.

So you need to have a lot of faith in the seller to purchase a loose Sunburst animal since the pic just ain't enough to tell the difference.

And like Jon said its true that the symbols of the repo rubs are visible without rubbing as they are braille like with the symbol that looks to be placed on top of the rub as you can clearly see it holding it in the light under different angles.

So if it is infact either a beast that someone placed a real burst sticker on or it was just a random sunburst figure. Whats it worth?

Take a picture of it with without the rub heated in the light.

If you can't said for sure that it is a legit one it's only worth the regular price of the beast with common rub.

Ok differance being when it isn't heated you can see the outlines scratched into the black squeeze. A real rub when black you don't see any form of outline.

I think instead of taking pictures, you'd almost have to have someone take a video of them with the before and after of the rubsign without cutting away.

Also, my friend called the Grizzly Bear "Sun Bear," and when I asked why, he said, "Because it has the sun sticker on it." So while I think it's possible, he could have been saying that just to impress me. If he ever digs up his collection, I'll be sure to try and confirm.
