VINTAGE ONLY!

I have a strange request for the members of this board. As many of you know I am a huge Star Wars fan. While I am attempting to complete my vintage collection a new project, or interest, has come along. I have decided to create my first diorama. I have chosen the Emperor’s arrival at the Death Star from Return of the Jedi.

The key ingredient for this will be tons of Imperial troops. From my childhood I already had many Stormtroopers, but I really want this to be an impressive project. So I have set a goal that I can only see in my mind, which means that I’m not sure how many figures I will need. Here’s where you can help.

I have been searching ebay for good deals (and I’ve been pretty lucky) and I’ve tried flea markets, antique stores, and hobby shops in my area. I’m running out of places to look! So the next time you go into a flea market or toy/hobby shop please look for VINTAGE Imperial figures. I prefer not to spend more then $5 per figure. In fact $2-$3 is ideal. They do not need to have their weapons or be in mint condition. Please email me, or post here, if you may be able to help me.

Here are the VINTAGE figures I am looking for…
AT-AT Driver - Example Here
AT-ST Driver - Example Here
Biker Scout - Example Here
Emperor’s Royal Guard - Example Here
Imperial Dignitary - Example Here
Imperial Gunner - Example Here
Stormtrooper - Example Here
Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) - Example Here
TIE Fighter Pilot - Example Here

Please remember these figures do not need to be mint, or have their weapon. But they need to be in good enough condition that they wouldn’t look terrible as part of a large group (i.e., a Stormtrooper painted red, or a AT-AT driver with a his face paint scraped off).

I will post a picture of the current “army” as soon as possible.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

And I know I could add new figures, but I want it to be all VINTAGE figures.

VINTAGE ONLY!

Like I said, my ideal range is $2-$3 per guy with a high end of $5. But for certain figures I would pay more (i.e., Emperor’s Royal Guard, Imperial Dignitary, and Imperial Gunner).

Added to the mix are Royal Guards, TIE pilots, some commanders, and an AT-AT driver.

Take a look...

A small edit has taken place with my list.

I am no longer looking for Imperial Commanders, AT-AT Commanders, or Death Squad Commanders.

Those 3 figures must be the easiest Imperials to get.

I would but it's the same reason that I haven't sent you a picture of my MUSCLE collection. I don't have a digital camera, scanner, etc, etc.

I'll at least give some numbers later tonight.

10 Imperial Commanders
8 Biker Scouts
7 AT-AT Drivers
7 Death Squad Commanders
6 AT-ST Drivers
5 Emperor’s Royal Guards
0 Imperial Dignitarys

And hopefully on the way are...
21 AT-AT Drivers

Getting a bunch of Imperial Dignitaries and Gunners is going to set you back more than a bit. How many are you planning to buy?

And your collection sounds awesome, man! I just wish I could see it! Keep it up!

I know! I'm pretty nervous how I am going to deal with the Imperial Dignitaries and Gunners. I think there are really 2 realistic options.

1.) The GODBEAST - If he can make some repo's, then that would be good enough for me.
2.) SKIP IT - Most people don't even know these figures. They were part of the POTF line, so most people who grew up with SW toys don't really remember these figures. Basically what I'm saying is that when I show my friends, they'll never know the difference if I don't have them.

Major Update!

60 new recruits have joined the Imperial Army.

I think it breaks down like this: 20 Stormtroopers, 20 AT-AT Drivers, & 20 other mixed Imperials. I just got the package and I’m SO excited. I wish I had a picture to show you guys. The army is becoming quite impressive.

But it doesn't end there. The Imperial Army still needs your help. Visit your local recruiter, or PM me if you know of possible recruits.

10 Death Squad Commanders
4 Hoth Snowtroopers
2 Imperial Commanders
1 TIE Pilot
1 Emperor's Royal Guard
1 AT-ST Pilot

Duh! :D Here's the breakdown, but I know that the guy I bought them from threw in a couple other things (droids, weapons, and a custom).

This is a bump, and a reminder that while I am trying to increase my army there are still other Star Wars things that I want or need.

Also, feel free to offer Star Wars items in place of money or MUSCLE’s for trades.

I’ve done some major pruning to this thread, and as a nice bonus. Here are the newest pictures of my army. The first one is the most figures I got standing before the wind wiped them out. The second picture is all of the figures bagged. The third is just a pretty cool picture.

Sweet pics! I noticed that they only included the Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, and AT AT drivers. Have you taken a picture of the entire army standing, including the other imperial soldiers like Royal Guards and Scout Troopers?

I tried to do that, but they kept falling over. At one point I had the Stormtroopers, Hoth, Biker Scouts, At-At pilots, At-At Commanders, TIE pilots, and Death Star Commanders standing up. I stood up to get the camera to take a picture and my knee hit the table. Everything fell over. B)

I had to quit or I would have freaked out.
