This 'discovery' might not be very new to the die hard BB collectors who've been roaming around the board for years but its something that made my mouth fell wide open when I heard it.
From the beginning I've always been clear about not liking the BB Chariots/Sleds/Bases at ALL as to me they always looked like as if they come from a completely different planet comparing them to the detailled figures and their weapons. Never understanding that one design team would've been able to make such detailled sculpts and those 'cheap' plastic looking things at the same time.
Recently I've been in touch with Dabbuu and we have had a great conversation going about several subjects related to Battle Beasts which was actually a result of the Prototype topic of his that showed up a few days ago. During one of the PM's I also mentioned him my thoughts and aversion against those chariots and the other stuff in similar words as mentioned above.
Dabbuu came with a completely mind blowing (to me) but completely logic answer;
The playsets were designed by Hasbro while the figures were made by Takara.
LOL So this is the sentence I've been waiting for to finally find the prove for this huge difference within design and altough its not really another planet between the designs its at least created by a design team on another continent.
I have been sharing my personal view on the chariots/bases' and other stuff a lot out here but none every mentioned this so I assume I might not have been the only one who's been missing out on this important historical fact in the history of Battle Beasts.
Already wonder how those all would've looked like if they were designed in Japan.............

Thanks to Dabbuu dropping that one line I've been able to fill one of the blanks that was there for me and that never made any sense to me, now it does!
