I never liked the cartoon or comic storylines about MIMP myself, although I loved the NES game which was tangentially related. I think it plays better for kids when you can give the characters the personalities you want them to have.
The game was awesome, I loved kicking ass as the vampire. Never could beat the final boss though. $@&* YOU WARLOCK!!!

Yeah, not to derail the thread but I thought it was great how they ran with the concept of tiny monsters, with stuff like the keys you throw, or the giant stove and that long bannister you run down. I played it on an emulator a few months ago and ran out of men on Warlock.
Warlock is rough man. I don't have an NES anymore and no emulator. His second form is what finished me. Did you get to that point? I don't want to spoil it totally if you haven't.

It was after he came out of the TV and flew around, I don't think he changed form before I lost. I did beat the game as a kid, but I don't remember what happened.
TV Warlock was who killed me too. I watched the ending online on Youtube, you aren't missing anything.
