even though i have never seen one in an auction I just found proof that there are purple #153s out there. On the mps website where darrin talks about the different posters, the colored poster has #153 in the color purple. My search for a purple 153 is not in vain!

Whoa, now that you mention it, I've never seen a purple #153 the claw either! That would be cool to come across one though!

Jimmy has all the Colors marked off for 153 except for Magenta and Salmon.

The pictures from the site above are scans from the colored M.U.S.C.L.E. Poster. So it is true that the claw exists in dark purple. I hadn't thought about this. If it was on the M.U.S.C.L.E. Poster, then it definitely exists, since the pics are photos of actual figures. SWEEEEET!!!theres also a picture of a purple 153 on this site:
