I have a bunch of these guys but can't remember what they were from.

I found this pic on the net, but its the exact same robots i have. I believe I have quite a bit more than pictured though.

Can't really find any info.

Anyone have a clue? Or are they just dollar store figures?

They are Ro-Gun Robots by Arco:

Weird, that says they were only available in Canada. Never been there. Nor have my parents.

Also, just saw that they were linked with a board game called TronQuest.

Maybe several companies used the molds and released them??

Ah yeah, I don't think they were only available in Canada because I got a bag of them at a dollar/discount type store as a kid in Midwest U.S. This would have been late '80s, early '90s. But it's possible they weren't labeled as Ro-Gun Robots--could have been the case of a different company using the same molds. I'm not sure if Arco was still even around at that point.

I got mine around '87-88 I believe.

But I see arco made them, and they were used in some board game called tronquest. So obviously they werent limited to arco only.

I know mine aren't from a board game, so I will assume its the arco figures. I do remember I had 40-50 of them in one pack.

The article being from 2007 and with little information on the figures at the time, I think there's plenty of room for error or lack of information.

Never heard of TronQuest before this thread. It also marks the first time I've ever seen the Ro-Gun Robots in green, dark like classic army men.

I wonder whether the game came first or the Arco line.
