Most of you will probably not recall this. Hell, none of you probably will, but back in 2007 was the first time I chose to dabble in Battle Beasts. I was really into the Laser Beasts in particular because I loved their greater use of technological armor - of course my taste in toys would point towards the more expensive variety. However, I later found some interest in certain Battle Beasts and picked up several, including a Sabresword Tiger from one Mr. Karis.

Around Christmas that year, I could swear I'd received and briefly admired it, but I was distracted by a marathon of Justice League DVDs and a sweet diecast Mechagodzilla I'd just received from overseas, and couldn't find any trace of the Tiger. He wasn't with my other Battle Beasts or the mail I'd gotten that week or even in the trash. Since the trash was taken to the dump between the time I (thought I) received the mail and the day I realized my BB was missing, I had no way to be sure I even received him at all and didn't confuse him for another BB! I mentioned it once or twice, but forgot the incident not much later.

Years went by, I decided to give up on BB and sold them all off. Lo and behold, late last year I see that there's a package in the mail for me when I was expecting nothing. Looking at the label was even more confusing because I certainly hadn't bought anything from here! It doesn't come across as well in pictures, but the envelope felt so bizarre, so rough and worn, and the postage price and postmark were virtually gone.

And inside? One Sabresword Tiger BB complete with weapon resting snugly inside.

I have no idea if Johnny sent me a duplicate for free simply to be nice, or if I was mistaken and this is the original BB I was supposed to get from him and anticipating its arrival so many Christmases past. All I do know is that this fellow, despite the lack of comrades, will always have a home here now. After a journey in the postal system of over six years, he's earned it!

Man and just when I'd given up hope on my lost package of Laser Beasts from last year, you have to go getting my hopes up again ;)

Really though that's a sweet surprise. Happy for you :)

Yes.

You should expect them in about five more years, per USPS.

Awesome! In time there are, luckily enough, only a few things that didn't came trough or got lot in the mail.

Guess most of us do have bad experiences with the post companies all over the world so pretty sure this is a story that goes for all of us, so there's one lesson we can learn here; Never give up hope!

Although, GJNL, I move rather often for this to provide much encouragement. At least I can hope that somebody is getting my stuff...

But that is really strange.

Wow. I vaguely recall that transaction and that you told me you never got it. I can't recall if I had an extra one and re-sent it or not. Either way, that thing has definitely been floating around in post office limbo.

Based on that postage amount, it had to have shipped between 1/8/2006 and 5/14/2007.

Just dug through my PM's and that shipped on 12/22/2006. 7 years.

Don't you go leaving me feedback for being a slow shipper either....

From the PM when you were asking about it...

It is in a medium sized , well taped bubble mailer with a printed kinnikuman.com address label though, so it's not something they might misplace.

I was sure wrong, ha ha.

That is insane. I have had couple things get lost for a couple months, but years!?! And that poor tiger has been stuck in that bag for that long. Surprisingly, he still looks to be in good condition. Who knows where he has been for that 6 years.

Lucky thing you are still at the same address!
