CHECKLIST SCANS

 

I scanned most of these in myself. One or two were collected from the Internet. Most series should be represented here:

 

UK/US/World Series 1 (Energheia)

 

This was the first release in most of the world outside Italy. In Italy this series was known as Energheia as they had an earlier series known as Series 1.

 

This is the easiest series to find figures from, although the characters Mastodontic and Multiform Anonymous were not released in the US.

Series 2

 

This was the second series released around the world, although this series was released before Energheia in Italy.

 

This series saw the introduction of "Magic Egg" figures, which were released individually in dissolvable eggs and are a little harder to find than the rest of the series. However, this is another relatively easy series to track down.

Series Atomic

 

This series was released after Series 2. It consists of recoloured versions of the Series 2 figures. Earth figures have glow in the dark paint. Water and Fire figures change colour in cold or hot water. Forest and Air Gormiti have transparent parts.

 

The figures in this series are generally fairly easy to find, although they did not enjoy a wide release Stateside.

Series 3

 

Series 3 saw the first appearance of the Tribes of Light and Darkness.

 

This series was only released in a few select territories, notably Italy and Spain, although Spain did not get all figures; some were exclusive to Italian newsstands ("edicola").

 

A promised US release did not, I believe, ever appear, although two "pop-up" playsets with exclusive gold repaints did make it to market. A great shame, as this series contains some of the very finest Gormiti around.

Mythos

 

Series Mythos consisted of recoloured versions of the Series 3 figures. As with Series 3, it was limited to continental Europe.

 

Like Series Atomic, Water and Fire tribes changed colour in cold and hot water. The Air tribe had glow in the dark applications. Earth and Forest had metallic highlights, while Light and Dark tribes change colour in the sun.

 

Series Mythos was released at the same time as Energheia in Italy, and you occasionally see the two series referred to as a single series: Mythos-Energheia.

Mystica

 

Series Mystica was one of the early Italian releases. It consisted of repaints of the Italian Series 1. This uses the same characters as Energheia (Series 1 to the rest of us) but the figures are much smaller and less muscular.

 

The figures in this series are relatively difficult to find, and this is probably the most expensive series to purchase.

FINAL EVOLUTION

 

Final Evolution was the largest series released this far: 84 figures across 13 different tribes. This series was essentially limited to continental Europe (with one exception; see below).

 

In actuality, it's best viewed as two separate series.

 

Final Evolution Part One consisted of recoloured versions of the Energheia figures in Atomic colours, complete with the very same Atomic gimmicks - GITD, colour change and so on.

 

Most of these Final Evolution repaints were also released in the USA as part of Series 1; however American collectors were shortchanged as the US Final Evolution figures lack the colour change or glow in the dark gimmicks that the original European release had.

Final Evolution Part Two was a whole different kettle of fish to part one. This half of the series consisted of resculpts of the characters from Series 3/Mythos.

 

The designers really went to town here, as many of the sculpts are downright bizarre and highly stylised.

 

Each tribe had also "evolved" into a new tribe. The Earth Tribe were now the People of Diamond. The People of the Forest were now the People of the Burning Forest. Water became Ice. The People of the Air became the People of Fossil. The Fire/Volcano Tribe became the People of Metal. The People of Light and Dark were the People of the Sun and Moon respectively.

Cartoon Series (AKA "Lords of Nature Return")

 

This series was released in conjunction with the Italian Gormiti Cartoon. By this point, the leaders of the "good" tribes were Earth children in adult form. The rest of the characters are resculpts of characters from Series 1 and 2.

 

This series also got a UK release. This series is fairly easy to collect, although six of the Volcano figures were only available individually as companions to 5" figures, making them a little more difficult to obtain.

Elemental Fusion

 

Elemental Fusion was a second Gormiti cartoon series. It retained the leaders of the tribes, but the rest of the characters were brand new. This series received a Europe-wide release.

 

The gimmick on this series was that each figure had a microchip built into its foot. Placing the figure on an electronic altar (available separately) enabled the figures to "talk". Three different figures were exclusively available with the altars.

 

Italy was also treated to newsstand exclusive variants of five figures (not featured on the checklist below) which had transparent parts.

Supreme Eclipse (Eclissi Suprema)

 

Supreme Eclipse again retained the old tribe leaders and otherwise added all new characters, except for one: Diamantes (Diamond) from Series 2 made a reappearance, for reasons I've never been able to establish.

 

This series was released across Europe and, again, figures were able to "talk" on altars. HOWEVER, the UK release did not get talking figures, so figures from this territory have an ugly hole in their foot instead of a microchip.

 

The UK also did not seem to get all tribe leaders, although despite the lack of altars, the two altar-exclusive figures (Luxor and Oneiron) were available in special 10 figure packs.

Titanium

 

Titanium recycled the characters from Supreme Eclipse, although names were altered slightly (for instance, Moloch became Megamoloch).

 

Titanium did away with the talking gimmick, and instead introduced articulation and accessories. Accessories were hidden in a compartment in each figure and consisted of weapons, masks, crystals and emblems. There were also rubbery "rings of power" that you could wear to really get in the mood.

 

This series was released across Europe; seven figures were available exclusively in Magic Eggs, and are more difficult to find as a result.

Neorganic

 

The Neorganic series was a return to the classic non-articulated Gormiti style. There were no gimmicks, other than heat-sensitive numbers which could be revealed on some figures and heat-sensitive rubs on the trading cards.

 

This series saw the first appearance of the Old Sage and Magor, who played an important role in the Gormiti origin story. There were also mono-coloured army builder figures on sprues to accompany the series.

 

Newsstand exclusive variants of the good tribe leaders were also available. This series was released in continental Europe only, although some figures made their way to clearance in the UK, where they sold out quickly.

Morphogenesis

 

Morphogenesis brought back the articulation of Titanium, but lost the accessories. Instead, figures from this series could be taken apart and the pieces interchanged with other figures.

 

Also gone were the Earthling tribe leaders, to the delight of adult collectors everywhere.

 

It was also possible to "stack" figures into and onto each other to create "Gorgolem", enabling you to join your Gormiti together in a near-infinite number of ways to create enormous chimeras.

 

This series was released across Europe, although two figures (not on the checklist) were exclusive to the continent.

Luxion

 

Luxion features figures that glow in the dark. They aren't much seen outside Italy, and consequently are in high demand from collectors outside the country. A shame, as the figures are very nice.

Do you have a Series 3 checklist other than the image you posted? I can't quite make out the name of the second sculpt listed in the Sea Tribe, the frog looking guy with the big tongue. Lingua-something?

Probably easier for the sake of understanding to list them in Italian production order and include their Series 1 checklist (1, Mystica, 2, Atomic,3, Mythos, Energheia, etc) than the way it's organized now, but that's just me.

 

Maybe later I can scan or find a decent image of the US Series 1, since we had a few name changes no other region got. Not sure if that happened in our Series 2 though.

Do you have a list of all magazine gormitis out in Italy with figure and edition number?

It would be useful to find out how many i'm missing.

I have almost all series (still missing Mystica and Mythos). My series are complete with special editions (Magic eggs, etc).

I'm now trying to complete the gold/silver editions, very hard because they differ from country to country.

As said before, i still miss a few from italian magazine, so it would be very useful to know how many they are and what edition number they came with.

Hi, I just got into these and I want to add them into my free checklist app to start collecting (Toy Collector Archive on the iOS )

 

Has anyone every taken the checklists above and typed them into a list? If so, could there share? It would be a lot easier to import into the database if the list was already in text form!
