All I can say is "WOW".

I came across these today at the toy show I was at. The idea behind them is that they will be part of a miniatures game, where you can actually design and build your own characters. Currently he is still hammering out the details on the rules and what not. He is a huge M.T.G. fan, so I imagine the ground rules wil be influenced somewhat by that game.
But when I saw them and their styling, I immediately thought of the vinyls and plushies that are "all the rage" these days.
First off, they are all hand made of card stock, and hand painted with acrylic paints. The detail and texture on these are just incredible! Between me and another guy at the show, we bought him out of what he had in stock, and I have an order in for 5 more.

Each one takes him 1-2 hours to create, and for the price he is selling them for, they are a STEAL!

These pictures do NOT do them justice.

I am posting pictures of the ones I picked up today, and he also, very kindly, painted up a Mr. VTR M.U.S.C.L.E. in classic Gundam colors and bestowed it upon me. It is in the pics as well.

When I get my next 5, I will post pics of them as well. And whether you are interested in the game or just interested in a KICK ASS piece of original art that you can display with your "Little Rubber Guys", vinyls and plushies, he will be selling these locally here in Sac at ToyFusion, and I will be carrying them in the LRG Store for only $10 each.

Now THAT is a deal!

Anyways, on to the pics!!!

Group shots first!

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Just a quick upate on what is coming down the pipe! ^_^

Well the week got away from me. I managed to layout at least two Cinder Blox. I should have the whole lot done up by at least this coming weekend (crosses fingers and rolls a head of cabbage - old Dungeons and Dragons joke). I've decided to go with a sentai super team theme. So, the Blox will have similar patterns, different colors and be reminiscent of several popular live action Japanese shows.

I can't wait! These things are freakin' incredible!

Very cool!

They remind me of something that happened a few years ago: A boy who couldn't afford to buy figures from a toy line he liked made them all out of paper instead. His paper figures became so popular that a real toy line ended up being made based on his paper figures. (I'm sure someone here knows the full story, but I think that's it in a nutsack.)

:notme:

I know that story, or one like it. There's this Japanese fellow who's made these paper model wrestlers. They're robots and quite cool!

http://studionebula....e-paper-robots/

This is a link to an article I found on them. They're called Kami-Robo.

My brother and I used to make a bunch of "extras" for our Star Trek and Planet of the Apes action figures to fight. But hey, that's how it all starts.

The rules are pretty bare bones right now and assume that the gamers will have lots of prior experience with miniatures gaming. PM me if you'd like to look over a copy. (There'll be the typical play tester's agreement).

Here is the latest set, in a style reflective of Power Rangers and that genre.

To be honest, personally, I don't fancy the Power Rangers/Kamen Rider type of styling (too plain), but for those of you who do, you'll love these!

All hand made, hand painted by Cinder. $10 each or we can work a deal for the set.

Reminds me of Ken/Ryu or Scorpion/SubZero/Reptile.

New CinderBlox! WooHoo! ;)

I saw Cinder today and missed picking up the entire 3rd batch, but I got the best 2.

1st off, is the Outwalker tank CinderBlox. Same decor and design as the first batch. Simply incredible!

Attached File  PICT4814.JPG   517.96K   4 downloads Attached File  PICT4815.JPG   507.88K   1 downloads Attached File  PICT4816.JPG   490.11K   2 downloads Attached File  PICT4817.JPG   486.92K   2 downloads

Next is a Warhammer like R2-D2 type thingy. To think that this is made completely of paperboard is just awe inspiring!

Attached File  PICT4818.JPG   496.12K   9 downloads Attached File  PICT4819.JPG   537.4K   3 downloads Attached File  PICT4820.JPG   484.24K   6 downloads Attached File  PICT4821.JPG   540.35K   0 downloads Attached File  PICT4822.JPG   504.94K   2 downloads

Last is a group shot to show scale......

Attached File  PICT4823.JPG   482.35K   17 downloads

You weren't expecting that, were you! These things are HUGE, and the paint/construction is INCREDIBLE!

Anyways, the Outwalker is $20 and the R2-D2 Warhammer tank thingy is $30 for anyone who is interested.

I spoke with Cinder today about the Ninja (Power Ranger like) set above, and he said to offer all 5 of them for $20 shipped, including a copy of the first edition of the game rules.

My first edition series is for sale as well, at $10 each, except for the Green Rabbit.

PM me if you are interested!
