To some extent I feel this way about stained series 1 neons. The colour staining adds character and helps you remember that these figures are 15+ years old, so I'm happy to have some in my collection, as long as there's not more staining than original colour ha!
I wish I felt the same, but every time I get a neon yellow or neon green I need that has staining, it bugs me until I find a replacement I'm satisfied with. The worst is getting a lot with figures you needed in the mail, and opening the box to find the ones you needed are cursed with stains that you couldn't see in the photos online. You have the right idea, though. Saves money and hassle.

Hahahaha I am the guy who doesnt mind a stain or two. So long as it does not look like a color palette, I can live with a tiny stain. I need to get some sonrics. I am surprised Mike even offered things for that low

Sometimes it's easier said than done getting certain rare figures without staining. Out of the top 10 figures listed previously, my only two that are stained are NG Gremlin and NG Tengu. NG Gremlin in particular was such a tricky figure to get hold of that I really didn't mind the odd bit of staining on this back. It's better than not having him at all. I got rediculosuly lucky with my NG and NY Behemoths as they were both mint, but often they pop up with some staining, which is frustrating.

Yeah, my standard color set it pretty much finished short of a few holes here and there. I have a fair collection of premiums so far as well, but still a long way from complete; so I guess I will be off to the Neon nightmare pretty quick here. They just dont show up enough on US ebay, so I guess I am going to have to pay those crazy royal post fees to get them from the UK. Once that is done I will be hitting the Sonrics; I imagine this will be taking a Looooonnnggg time lol.

I have extra Sonrics too. I sell the commons cheap if you want some.

Yeah, I got them today. the two clear individual Sonrics (Catoblepas and Windigo) were great; and made me really happy. The small lot however was pretty disappointing. It was pretty much a bunch of damaged and super stained trash figures with a couple decent ones thrown in. It wasn't a total bust; but it was definitely retail. The pic in the auction was pretty bad and hid a lot of the damage and huge stains. There was a clear Sonrics Siren in there which was really the only reason I bought the lot in the first place. the pic was out of focus and over exposed (unlike his single auctions which have perfect pics); so it was hard to tell much about it. Unfortunately it was completely fragged. It looks like it got melted or chewed on or something. Pretty bummed about that. I did get an orange premium Hobgoblin and a couple S1 and S2 to fill in some blanks though. Some I will probably replace later on; but they are passable for filling a hole in the collection for now. It kind of grinds me though bc the other two single figures are excellent; while the multi figure lot seemed to be just a way to move some trash with a couple bait pieces. Still love the good ones I did get though.
Sucks
Pic doesnt ever show how bad it is.
But this awesomeness makes me happy.

Pretty dishonest for the seller not to mention any damage.

All I can do is reiterate that people don't buy from this seller.
Although given his prices, I'm not sure why people are buying from him in the first place.

this crap always pisses me off. If an eBay member has any reasonable amount of seller feedback (or hey, an effing storefront) yet they're posting a blurry or overexposed image, it's a good indication that they're trying to pull one over on potential buyers. The focus feature on a camera isn't that hard to figure out; it's just an easily deniable form of deception.
edit: I should clarify that I'm not necessarily referring to this seller (and looking at that auction, the image isn't that bad). I've just seen it enough to consider it a trend. Sucks that he didn't mention the damage though, that's not cool....

Hit me up with those doubles and prices
Also it sucks about the damage. He did that to me with a Battle Beast and I was pretty furious.

Yeah, I'm not trying to flame anyone or anything. The pic doesnt appear to be bad but trust me most of the figures are in pretty bad shape with bad stains, chuncks missing or writing on them that you cant see in the pic. But like I said, I feel like I got a good deal on the transparent Sorics that were sold individually so overall I did well enough I just wish I had passed on the mixed lot and bought another single with a better pic. Even so, I have a few less holes in the collection out of it.

It was about two months ago. It was two El Greco Greek battle beasts.
Here is the first: http://www.ebay.com/...IT#ht_94wt_1219
Being new to it and everything, I did realize that he had two of the same arms, the shoulder pads were cut off and it was covered in goo behind the figure.
Here is the second: http://www.ebay.com/...IT#ht_94wt_1219
This one was just annoying because it had the same arms like the other. It was also filthy when it arrived.

Seems like we have a seller here who is repeatedly selling damaged figures without telling anyone they are damaged - in other words, lying by omission.
Beats me how he has 100% feedback rating though?!

Yeah, all of mine were "give you the crawls" fillthy, and I am a Millwright; so I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I always wash new figures with dish soap and an old toothbrush in the sink when I get them. I scrubbed them forever and feel like I should give them another once over even still.

Yeah my Cromy mimps were like that lol I sell stuff on ebay all the time and I feel like you should at least mention if it is dirty, broken, smoke smelling, etc. Guess I have morals lol
