This stuff's great! I really like the tidy/chaotic aesthetic of the sculpts. Very cool

Thanks, guys!
Ok, I'm getting the sculpting down (as far as being more comfortable, not mastering it), getting more confident...but now I am in a weird place of "Ok, so what kind of figures do I want to produce? What do I want to spend hours and hours waiting to be cast... one at a time"
Right now, the only answer I have is the MegaWatt figure I just did my first casts of. So...I think I'm "tossing" all my past sculpts and going back to the drawing board to see what I am really passionate about producing. Monsters? Robots? Superhero-looking guys? Hmm...

Not sure why... My uploads did the same but only in one of my threads. Even rotating them before uploading wouldnt help, some little drive error it seems.

I've got 3 sculpts going at once. The top one is a monster that has some wood and moss armor. And the other 2 are just generic muscular bodies that I'll just figure out what to do with later.
(Does anyone know why the image uploaded otter rotates images automatically upon upload?)

depending on the camera images sometimes have orientation set in the meta info, assuming it has something to do with that. Did you rotate or edit it at all before uploading?

Holy shit, it's been too long! Can't believe it's almost been a year to the day since I was last active on the boards. My day job got real hectic for a while and I put aside sculpting and casting, but I'm back! I just finished my new figure and am making a mold of the 3rd figure as I work on the accompanying comic. Here's a peek at some of my new goods.
This is Shit Storm, he was a fun little guy to make, but way too solid! Used a lot of rubber on this guy. I had the most fun with his comic, since I got to make a lot of poo jokes. You can buy him here if you're interested (I may make a new post for this guy in a little bit)

Glad to be back, hope to be posting regularly again (even though I just started at a new job and it's mad stressful/busy!)

Very cool stuff man, you have a lot of talent.
What color do you plan on casting Murdermaid in?
And on an unrelated note, I also live in Burbank!

Thanks, man! I'm not sure what color to do yet, for sure I wanna do a blue-ish Green and maybe a pink too. Definitely one ocean color. And my daughter probably wants pink. Burbank buddies! (Even though I just work here now...I've moved to suburbia.

If you do go the glyos route, I think I remember reading on here that some people use these torches for the peg.
https://www.hobbylob...Torches/p/24375
They are slightly bigger, so fit really well with the shrinkage from molding/casting. Though if you're using rubber, Im not sure if that will affect the fit. Plus if you pull em out all the time I imagine the peg might tear.

Yeah, I had considered going the Glyos route, but ultimately, I make these for myself, my kids, and my friends and family's kids, so I want them to be a little more sturdy so the arms and heads don't pop off and get lost during casual play. Whether or not my current solution will accomplish those goals remains to be seen.
Those little torches are pretty cool though, I'll have to search them out and see them up close; figure out how they might work/make things easier. But for now, these plugs I made seem to be working pretty well. Maybe if people start showing more interest in my sculpts/figures it may be worth it to accommodate collector's desire for more Glyos compatibility (even I think it would be cool to mix and match with my Battle Tribes figures...if I ever open them), but for now I'm just gonna stick with what's easiest/appropriate for my current goals: learning and experimentation.
