Here are the 4 sets of Mad Scientist customs I made for Al Brocca/Hotnicz. 2 of the sets are cast like the cartoons on the cards, 1 set is opposite clear/solid, and one set is gitd.

The photos don't do the colors justice. In fact I took an extra photo of the 7th figure (clear brown) to show how transparent he actually is.

Enjoy...

Dude, those are sooo fncking sick!!!! I'm definitely getting a set. I actually have the colors picked out and have my list made and I can PM it to you tomorrow and as soon as I put my BEB figure up for sale and sell it, I'll have the rest of the funds I need to pay you. I'll be in touch.

Again, those are sick.

I would just like to say that the Godbeast has done an amazing job bringing these little guys back from the pits of the toy box. When I contacted GB about casting my Mad Scientist molds he instantly was on board. After three months of hard work they look amazing in the pictures above. But to really get the full affect you have to put a set of them in your hands, the colors, sculpt are flawless. A must have for any collector, great job. Thanks again Godbeast. :)

Oh wow, that's fantastic! I considered using my two molds with some sculpey or "fantastic plastic" but I doubt that would look as wonderful as these!

Guys, I can still make them as of right now...not sure how long my system w/ the molds will work and how long they will withstand my plastics...it is quite the time consuming process and anyone wanting a set or sets of these should lmk immediately.

Meatcutta, Ericnilla, and scythemantis lmk asap, especially before the temps get any colder here in IA!

Doubt I could afford some of my own (unemployed ATM) , just admiring the work :)

Do you cast them in the original molds or did you make copies of those from a stronger material?

As little kids, one friend and I would pretend to be some of these monsters. I was the green, slimey one, and he was the blue one with a mace. Then we'd knock things over around the house.

The memories.

:( Just purely frickin' AWESOME! It's soo cool to see some of these monsters (no pun intended) in the flesh for once. Since I was a kid, I always tried to make them & I just never could get the details right with the molds they included. These just look amazing. The clear I-Stomp is just too cool for words & Slugore looks sick too, really slimey & gooey. Sucks a friend of mine used to have the Slugore mold kit, but either 1) I lost it when she gave it to me years ago, or 2) She never gave it to me & it's probbaly been in a garbage dump for quite a few years.

Once I heard about mold making & such a year or so ago, I dug out my old Eye-Gore (the one with the 1 eye & big ears who is red) & Ogore (the blue one who looks fat with tentacles for arms) molds & tried to figure out how to make them "real". As I don't know alot about the mold-making process/don't have any resins to use, I made 1 of each out of Super Sculpey, then baked them. I also tried making 1 Ogore out of hot-glue...which kinda worked.

Sorry if the pics appear crappy, I LITTERALLY just took them like 5 minutes ago.

Kudos on truely captureing the Mad Scientist Monster Flesh & Living Ice kids GodBeast, very, very cool stuff.

Idea: Hey, did you ever think about trying to make them articulated? At least Battle Beast style with 2 moveable arms (although I-Chomp, the little red one that looks like an aligator, might not fall into that catergory). GodBeast, that 7th Monster mold...what Mad Scientist set is THAT from? I've never seen it before. :D

Thanks! :D

That 7th character is from some MS playset. I didn't own any of these, Hotnicz had all of them and sent them to me to figure out how to make them into customs. ;)

Your hot glue one looks pretty good...isn't there gitd and colored glue sticks? You should try those. Did you fill each side of the mold and then glue the 2 halves together to make one whole figure? That would help you not get air bubbles or voids I think. ;)

OH YEAH, I totally forgot about that board game! I think my friend had that too, as it seems extremely familiar. That explains why the little guy doesn't really have any feet too.

Ah, okay. Were you able to pour resin into the molds then? Or, did you have to figure something else out?

I looked all over & the only things I had found where colored, glittered glue sticks. As for Ogore, I filled each side individually, then glued the dried pieces together. There's a very noticiable gap inbetween the two halves though, maybe next time I'll try smooshing the halves together BEFORE the glue completely cools, that might work.. Is there any type of releasing agent I could spray on the molds to make sure they pop out & don't get stuck?

I would take a Q-tip w/ a SUPER light coat of vasoline and rub it in the mold...a super light coat.

As far as the molds...well, I spent hours and hours and hours working on how to make these little buggers...a TON of trial and error, messes, and problems. :p Finally, I figured out a way to get perfect final customs, but, even at that there are still little problems that arise when I make them. ;)

I just got my set! Now for some background:

I used to have the Mad Scientist set where you put flesh ona plastic skeleton, create a "monster," and then dissolve it. These little dudes were advertised on the back - with just artwork, no actual pictures of the mold. At the time, I and Paul, a really good friend, in our seven-year-old (or so. maybe eight?) consciousness, we decided to adapt those monsters into our normal playtime. He became the blue guy with a mace for a hand, and I was the green slime one. Generally, we just rampaged around the place. Now, I haven't seen Paul in something like twenty years (we're not even in the same parts of the country anymore), but seeing these? Took me back. Waaaay back. Sepia tones, sappy music, "A more innocent time" (as we smashed through the house while making gargling noises), and all that.

So thanks, Marty! You just caused a Random Moment of Nostalgia!

Yup...the molds are not my normal silicone molds. They are becoming brittle (even w/ release agent) and anyone wanting a set of these, lmk asap.
