Kinnikuman in KOF?

If there are any KOF regulars out there, (or basically anyone who loves playing as Clark Still) then I'm sure you've noticed that Clark's SDM (or Leader DM's in the latest games) are based off of Kinnikuman moves.
Sure, he uses tons of wrestling moves, but the names he uses are pro'lly more than a coincidence:
Clark Spark, used from '00-'02 is based of of the Muscle Spark (I can't tell if it's the complete version because I can only see him using the leg grips)
Clark Special, used from '03 onwards is based off of the Robin Special
Napalm Stretch, used from '00 onwards is based off of Ataru's move of the same name
I can't remember what his moveset was pre '00 since I haven't played those KOF's in god knows how long, and didn't really care for Clark then.
Speaking of SNK games, Brocken from World Heroes is pro'lly based off of Kinnikuman's Brocken...

I've mentioned this before, somewhere on here, but King has a few of Kinnikuman's moves in the Tekken series, which are quite fun to do.

Brian Battler does??? Now I need to dig up my copy of '98 and see...
and yeah, the new guys save for Shen Woo and Oswald aren't as cool. 98'-'00 were like KOF's golden years.

KoF got a lot of tokusatsu influences too
like Heidern intro on KoF 95 (Kamen Rider Black RX henshin)
A Leona's special like Kamen Rider Black RX finisher
A Leona's attack with her hair clip like Ultraseven special
Ralf Kick very simmilar to Kamen Rider V3 rider kick
May Lee outfit remembers Kamen Rider 1 outfit
and a lot of other things

... get's the blood a pumpin'.
And yeah, they stopped doing the yearly thing. And it's a good thing too since XI's engine and overall presentation was incredible.
Just sucks waiting for XII, esp since Benimaru and Terry are going back to their pre-'03 looks, and I wanna see '03 Robert again.
BTW you think we should move this to the gaming section since this is starting to lose it's Kinniku-ness?

And damn, Temjin had that move? I wish I didn't get rid of my copy of AOFA...
And I need to play Rumble Roses and Agressors at least once, I hear the former's good, and I've heard of the latter from Neo Geo Battle Collesium.
And I never noticed that Maxima, Heidern, and Boman had those moves... Now I need to break out the good 'ol Dreamcast and check it out... Nice find.
BTW, this isn't KOF-related, but Potemkin from Guilty Gear has the Kinniku Buster in the form of the Potemkin Buster.
And supposedly Tager from Blazblue might have it too since he seems to be based off of Potemkin.

Truthfully, since Brian's a football player I think all his tackle moves stem from there and not Kinnikuman... but that's just me.

Brian's BBT causes the opponent to "spiral" through the air in a fashion very similar to the Hurricane Mixer.
Rumble Roses does not have a very solid engine (especially when compared to the Fire Pro series), but it has its (hilarious) moments. The same could be said about Aggressors - Kisarah is Coliseum's saving grace. (Also, Sheen's back-turned B throw is called "Phoenix Driver", only it sounds very much like, eh, "Penis Driver"...

How could I forget about Potemkin? His B voice set even has the "48 no hissatsu waza!"* quote! Also, his "Heavenly Potemkin Buster" has him sticking to the "ceiling" before landing, similar to Kinnikuman's "upside down" Kinniku Buster, used to defeat SteCase King.
* ("The 48th sure-kill/special move!", homage to Kinnikuman's "48 no satsujin waza!", meaning "The 48th killing move!")
Tager's throws look nothing like the KB, though he himself (and his playing style) certainly resembles Potemkin.

Which game does his B voice set have that??? I need to listen to it stat!!!
And now I've heard the 48 finishing techniques line in ANOTHER series but I can't for the life of me remember where. It's going to bug me for the rest of the day...
And is it me, or are NGBC's controls for the PS2 port kinda iffy at times?

AFAIK, Potemkin has that quote in every GG game except the first one. Here is the Accent Core version (1:09):
http://www.youtube.c...feature=related
Now that you mention it, I MAY also have heard about the 48 techniques in some other game... but it could just be a case of self-suggestion.
As for NGBC, I have never played the arcade version, but I suspect that the somewhat stiff and unforgiving controls are inherent to the game and not the conversion. For example, with Lee, it is possible (almost necessary) to perform his aerial b+D cross-up kick by holding forward while jumping over the opponent, but buffering his wall dive super (qcfx2+P after leaping to the wall with the charge down, u+P move) before he touches the wall is verboten. In other words, to combo said super from a crouching C (which launches), one is required to input the qcfx2+P command at breakneck speed JUST as Lee hits the wall and turns around. All that effort, and the move doesn't even do more damage than his other supers...

Anyway, In Project Justice/Moero! Justice Gakuen/Rival Schools 2 Boman Delgado's assist move is the Buster Variation Part 5. I only noticed it since I got a chance to play PJ w/out my copy hanging on me.
To be honest I didn't really play much with Lee... I ended up maining Kyo, Hotaru, and Kaede. But even the special tag moves are murder to perform.
What's lame is that when Playmore added some of the NGBC characters to KOF XI they didn't even bother trying to fix their controls, (namely Hotaru) yet they had the time reprogram the moves to fit the control scheme for XI. Not to mention Ryo's Lightning Legs Knockout Kick is possible only by doing qcb+k, instead of doing the hcb motion.

When initiated the two hero characters (Jonathan and Charlotte) appear at opposite ends of the screen and then speed towards each other and connect with the enemy in the center of the screen while yelling out "Cross Bomber."
