i finally tracked down three of the series 9 dragons. of course the one i wanted the most is the one they didn't have. trust me, i tore that whole aisle apart looking for these damn things. had i not, i would have only walked out of there with one. so, clawdigger, tailsmash and wizenbeard are now mine. just on the hunt for a sawskreech. i found them at a smith's marketplace of all the places. their toy selection is about like kmart's minus the marvel figures.

I just picked up a couple of the small Plasma Dinosaurs when I was at Walgreens. Fairly nice, easy to combine, etc. May be something I'll have to look into a little more...

the dinos are really cool. and they're great if you love dinosaurs. i think the best series from the plasmaverse are the dragons though. i'm a sucker for dragons though. i'm only missing two precursors and one series dragon and i'll be complete. there is however a sea monster like dragon from the king arther bridge playset and another dragon from one of the other playsets that i may have to get too.

the last of the series 9 dragons, the one i've been waiting for for almost a year was finally found and bagged today. sawskreetch, the undead dragon. let me just say this. worth the wait. although i'm going to have to reshape his wings, stupid egg packaging, he's by far the most original and impressive of all the dragons. he has officially de-throned all previous faves i had. my only complaint is that his eyes weren't painted. and this isn't something that just wasn't considered in the painting stage of production. he sculpt itself has just eye sockets. i know, i know. he's undead and that's what it would look like. but think about this. if he's really the animated skeleton of a dragon, wouldn't you think there'd be energy visible that's powering the beast. how better to represent this than glowing eyes? at the very least i'd hope for some kind of painted representation of this. bright red or blue paint maybe. at best, i'd hope they would mold clear plastic eyes into the skull that would shine like magic and give some kind of glimmer to how powerful this mighty dragon really is.

They had one dragon, and the rest were the creeps. I agree with you on the price. If they would have originally been $3, I would have bought them on sale for under $2

I would actually rather just pay less for the LRG than to pay more for the package gimmick.

I was able to find 6 Plasma Dragons, Series 9 (part of colorswitch series) Got 3 Clawdigger, 2 Sawskreetch, and 1 Tailsmash. But no Wizenbeard. None are Colorswitch dragons, but if someone had 1 would love to buy it! Send me a PM or email keithp2008@yahoo.com (put subject as colorswitch dragon) I live in the U.S.

that sucks no wizenbeard. i'll keep an eye our for you in case i spot one. he's rapidly becoming my favorite dragon. sawskreech is cool, but wizenbeard is just so much cooler. i don't have any color switch either, that i know of. i've yet to try any of mine though. do you have all of the other dragons too? i've got every one except for the two precursors that come with battlestorm castle.

I dont have any other dragons other than that series. Try yours out (put them in the freezer for 5 minutes), that's the fastest way to make them change color if they are colorswitch.

It really bothers me that nobody's found a Colorswitch figure or that the gimmick wasn't simply instituted with every figure instead of some. I'm starting to suspect that none have actually been released. Is there ANY evidence online that points to them existing?

That is a good point, I have never heard or saw any, and not seeing any listed online makes me think not many were released, or none actually were made at all that changed color.
My suggestion, they should release a colorswitch series where ALL dragons you buy change color, that way you know you get one, and they would be more fun so more people would buy them. They all dont have to turn gray, some can become a lighter/darker color. Like red to orange, or blue to purple.

color change is fine with me, but i can definitely live without it. i'd just like to see further series of dragons but some more original sculpts. aside from crawbellow, there wasn't much in terms of innovation. series 9 was a good start with sawskreech and wizenbeard. but the rest were basically the same old same old just different colors. sadly, i have a feeling that series 9 was the last release for plasmaverse.

My local Walgreens just got new stock of the series 9 dragons, only got 7 in the shipment box! I bought them all which makes my total dragons at 16 now, got all characters, but not 1 is color switch! And they are all from the same store, so chances of getting 1 should have been high! But no, all normal looking. I am upset because these must be ultra rare then, not just like 1 in 5 having it like I thought.

Yeah I got 2 of him. He was more brown actually than red, and yes he is one of the coolest.

well, by red i meant more like a burgundy. but if you've got a variant of some sort that is brown, i'd love to see some pics of him.

Here is my "army" of dragons, not 1 is colorswitch. As you can see, I was trying to get all 4 dragons in colorswitch. If anyone has any colorswitch would love to trade!

Hate to bump this, but I have 2 versions of Sawskreetch. One comes with an orange stretchy egg thingy while another has a blue stretchy egg thingy.

Of all the Sawskreetches I saw, most had the orange stretchy egg thingy. I only saw 2 with the blue color, one of which I bought.

I have not opened either one up yet, but it makes me wonder if the blue one means it is a color-changing dragon. If so, then that could mean a different colored stretchy egg thingy would tell you if your dragon color changes or not.

You might be right, you should open it! You'd be the only one with a color changer if your right so if its money your worried about in sure you could sell it for a good price. I've opened tons all had orange and I got no color switch.
