Sorry, as seen in other threads i just completely forgot it was here. I don't know why i didn't even see it when i scanned the topic list for FAC 15. I do think the next challenge should be something a little more specific. We just came off of the Oddball and Halloween challenges, which were both kind of "do whatever you want". I think a tighter or more specific theme adds challenge, which always helps spark creativity.
Sadly though, i don't know what it's going to do to draw the dormant UM fans into the contests. Isn't that whole part of the board just kind of on its own? I rarely see any of the anime kids posting outside of the Ultimate Muscle and Fan Fiction sections.

here's my first part for this contest: Ultimate Muscle, done up SD-style. these are from book one, and I've got the books up to 20, shooting to do them all before the month's up. I'f I have time left, I'll do a full group shot of them in the flat yellow, green, blue, red, and pink.

hmmm.. i was just going to pick out various non muscle sculpts but since the first two i had picked are actually super rares, maybe i'll do the whole damn thing in them.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. Thanks everyone!
I've missed the last 5 contests but I happened to find myself with a few spare hours.
A lot of these contests have been pretty ambiguous in nature, but with Veers narrowing it down to a request for a specific character, I found this one pretty easy to accomodate.
The more specific the parameters, the easier it is to enter these.

i threw this down while i was waiting to tank a test today. still trying to workout where everything is going to go and what poses i'm putting everyone in. may take dragon ramenman out all together now. but i do like that he's more recognizable from behind than some of the other ones i had in mind. anyway, i think you get the idea i'm shooting for here. finished product is going to be 11x17 and colored. yikes.

Wow Dankingery, i would love to see that fully developed. I didnt even notice the lightbulb guy till Kevin pointed it out, that is funny. I love the theme and the characters you chose. Omega man looks great!

Having MUSCLES instead of poker chips might be a good idea, too... but I don't know how feasable that'd be.
I like how they're playing Hold 'em and both pieces of Cross are playing... you might want to have the upper cross face taking a peek at the lower Cross's cards. He's a shifty and untrustworthy character, y'know. And instead of people holding the cards, have most people just peeking at them while at the table like most people do... though some do hold the cards (and usually arn't as good at the game). Cross the Upper wold obviously have to hold his cards up to keep the lower half from looking at 'em.
NICE! I just noticed the garbage can on the shelf! That's hilarious! Who's that on the dartboard?
I'm LOVIN' that picture, and it's just a presketch! The finished piece is going to look AWESOME!

When I was 12 in 1986, I actually played poker with my Grandfather and we used MUSCLEs as chips.Having MUSCLES instead of poker chips might be a good idea, too...

it's a good idea, but the "childhood of warsman" on the floor is going to be playing with kinkeshi. don't know if i want to take the time to draw all the little guys on the table too. i put okamarasu on the dart board. i'm trying to fit every damn thing i can into it like a where's waldo sort of thing. but with not as many people. there's a lot of elements that are on the sketch in my head that didn't quite make it to the notebook i scanned. hopefully i don't end up biting off more than i can chew. especially since my track record for completion is like 1-4.
