Hi everybody. I found these little guys on E-bay a while back. They're called Kodamas. I think they are a kind of forest spirit from Japanese mythology. Anyway, they're about 1"/1.5" except the standing one, which I'd estimate to be about 2"or 2.5" more or less. They are made of a translucent hard plastic that has a slight pearlescent shine to it. But the really cool thing as they glow in the dark! They come as a set of 6, each one with a different facial expression. I can't remember the exact seller I got them from, but it was in China. They only cost 9 dollars or something around that, and shipping was free as I recall. I like them and I think they are pretty cool for the price I paid for them. The sculpt is very clean with no seams or lines that I could tell. And I didn't see any markings either. The cool thing is I don't think the glow in the dark feature is a result of paint...I think it is embedded in the plastic itself. So, if you want to pick up some of these I think you would like them.

I believe they're from a Studio Ghibli anime as well.

My wife bought these for my kids, and I found out they were glow in the dark when I saw it in the corner of the room. Creeped me out for a minute until I reailized what it was.

She paid something like $1. It appears that since they've been determined to be from Studio Ghibli, their prices have skyrocketed. Crazy.

So are these bootlegs of the designs or something, then? Legit Ghibli merch is often obscure and expensive, and being that cheap from China...

@ Baltanll...I have no clue whether they're bootlegs or legit. Only know what everybody else mentioned about them. They are pretty cool though.

These guys are pretty common, and inexpensive, on eBay.
