No idea if they're a change for all chains, or just some oddity that Walmart wanted to save shelf space, but I was at 2 Walmarts today and the Gormiti 4 packs were in different blister cards.

The basic design is the same, but while the first 4 packs I saw at Target are almost square, these ones at Walmart are much more rectangular, being longer and taller.

Didn't buy any as the figures are exactly the same, so I don't have pics. But if you are at Walmart check for Gormiti and you might see the different shaped 4 pack blisters.

I assume these longer taller blisters are then newer version as they have the silver sticker under each figures foot obscuring the number, while all the "square" 4 packs I've seen have visible numbers.

What I'm really waiting to find are more FE repaints and the 2 missing Magma figures...

There aren't the Test Market packs!

Similar basic shape, but there is no mystery figure and the look is exactly like the normal US series 1 but "squeezed" into a shape like the Test Market one.

I might be by some more Wal Mart today, so I'll try to snap a pic w/ the phone. Quality may not be great but I'll illustrate the look anyway...

I just spotted these at Wal-Mart. Which was both a surprise and a happy, happy day because I finally have US-released Gormiti!

Anyway, the reason for the difference in the packaging is because they're made for displaying to the side of an endcap and come in their own (boring - plain blue) display. They're not sized for hanging on the shelf of the toy aisle itself. The packaging is still the US style, just elongated so that the total width is reduced. This minor package style change is probably only going to be seen at Wal-Mart, or only in the display-ready cases like I saw if they ship to other stores.

There were no two-packs to be found (no FE recolors, darn). I just got the Tasarau set since his paint looked best and the pack was full of guys I didn't own yet. You guys were not kidding about how much of a pain it is to pull them out of the bubble.

I just saw Gormiti in Wal*Mart yesterday, too! I only saw the 2-packs, and they were in their own little display similar to what Boaconda was saying. I don't know what is the recolor and such, but there were several packs that had identical sculpts, but one with clear and one with solid plastic. They were $6 or so.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Yeah,

I thought it might just a narrow package for sidecaps, but the second WalMart I saw them at had the narrow packs on the pegs in the normal aisle.

Still, it makes sense as that way WalMart can fit more item facings in the aisle...

I'll be interested to see if they eventually show up at other chains, or if WalMart later gets the "fat" 4 packs...

They are not the test packs. No poster inside. I just picked some up for my kiddos.

To anyone interested, I have all 5 different packs. $25 per set. That is only $5 per 4 pack! +shipping.

I also have 2 packs (the Polypus set and the Noctis set) for $5 ea. or $10 for both + shipping.

Or I will trade figure for figure...for ones my sons don't have. :)

LMK asap.

Update... one set SOLD. 1 set left!

First come, first serve! :)

EDIT: Damn Picasa keeps having problems. I reposted the image on facebook, should work now.

For the record, here's a cell phone pic that will give anyone who hasn't seen these Wal-Mart packs an idea of what they look like:

I tried to edit his link to jpg...he must have to do it himself to where he has the photos stored and physically change the format there.
