now, i always thought that $1000 for a super rare was insane. seriously insane, but people have paid that! $900, $1000, $1200 i saw once for a BHS. but now i think arforbes has totally lost grip with reality.

yes you saw that right. $5000 for mysterious partner (granted it is one of the coolest figures ever!) come one now dude. does he really think someone will shell out that kind of dough for this? is there another high end collector like alex willing to spend lots of cash for this? and i can't help but think that secretly he found another one of these figures and is just trying to inflate an already inflated worth or at least set a precedence for that kind of $$$ amount. it just seems so surreal to me. granted i would absolutely LOVE to own this figure. the only one ever found but even if i had $5000 to throw at something like this, i don't think i really could. just wow.

thoughts?

Well, my first thought is that your post is going to be edited by admin to remove that link :D

My second thought is that there is already a topic on this in the M.U.S.C.L.E. subforum

Beyond that... well, I don't blame anyone for trying to get more than market value for something. There are stupid people out there who don't do their research and pay wild amounts of cash for things.

Oh, and even though the auction trumpets this as "the only super rare of its kind known to exist!!!", I would put very, very good money on another one of these materialising in the very near future. My best guess is that another has been discovered, and the seller in question is holding back info of his discovery to inflate the value of this particular figure.

i think most of us around here agree that he doesn't sell something like this unless he's already got at least 2.
