I'm sure some of you have seen this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=120528348216

Green Yolkyuk in the lot

Anyway, I got in touch with the seller, and apparently it is the soft version. A number of collectors contacted me regarding the auction, and I myself am bidding also. But let's not get too carried away shall we - due to it being a softie!! :D

Don't worry Sebastian - remember I've got a hard purple Yolkyuk set aside for you! :)

It looks to be incredibly deformed as well. Bad Eggz or not, I wouldn't pay $2 for that figure. :D

Yeah, I am the second highest bidder on that lot, £21, don't think I would go any higher for a soft and deformed green Yolkyuk, especially when I already have the hard version in that colour.

EBay is TOTAL shizznit for Bad Eggz these days because every man and his dog is scouring mixed lots for them... chances of getting a bargain are slim to none :(

B) Oh dear - the seller said it was mint. Mind you - the rest of the figures have been kinda err...customised!!

Yeah, that figure doesn't look too good....

And damn straight about everyone scouring the MIMP auctions on ebay trying to find these things. Honestly, BEB collecting is a little too stressful for me, people get way too hyped up. I think I'm gonna be calling it quits on my BEB collecting for quite a while.

Besides, I'm saving my money and spare BEB for War Planets :(

Well, maybe it is then... But to me the legs look shrunked and crookit and the head looks shrunk as well. A larger image would be nice of course.

Why is it that BEB show up mainly in MIMP lots? Were they sold in the same time period? It seems that is the only place to find them. :D

So there's a soft version and a hard version. Which one is hard to find?

Yeah, they were out around the same time (early 90s) but MIMP was by far the bigger line, and BEB somewhat obscure, so BEB very often get confused for MIMP.

From what I've seen it's much of a muchness. I would say the hard ones are much more desirable though; better definition on the sculpts and also the softies are prone to warping, drying out, cracking and discoloration.

I suppose the ironic thing is that a "perfect" soft version is much rarer to find than hards, but, as discussed previously, "rare" does not necessarily mean valuable

Now how did I know that was coming?! ;) I initially typed " I have a hard purple one" but then thought erm...nope - I better add the "Yolkyuk" bit to avoid any confusion!! Did't make much difference then! :D

Well Russ, people are very good about finding bargains, not so good about giving away any clues as to how they got them B)

You and I are exceptions to that rule, of course :)
