I will post pics of the whole 20 piece set as I complete them. No worries, no real BB SDs were harmed in the making. TGB baked me up a set of custom figures and weapons. The SDs were molded in primer gray, then I slaved away with acrylic paints. Enjoy! B)

Besides the ones in the pics, I have the Fox, Gator, and Weasel done. I need to touch up the weasel's armor color a bit. It is tricky mixing the colors. They are very close for the most part.

Thanks again, guys. Expect more pics soon.

can you please list the exact paints (company) and colors (numbers or whatever) you bought and the type of brush you use, so others including myself can give it a go in the future following your same color choices/brush(es).

it would be for those who also want the same colors to match the original BB counterparts.

He said it already "Basics" acrylic paint. Its a student grade acrylic paint by Liquitex. He did alot of mixing. Basics have a very small selection of colors compared to their artist grade Parent Liquitex line. I haven't had to mix a paint yet for BB's to match if you explore different brands. I'm guessing all his brushes range around 00 to 2

Sorry to butt in on that.

My girlfriend got me a set of 36 small tubes of BASICS acrylics for my B-day in July for under $40. The whole set was very affordable online. Use Google Shopping to find deals or Amazon.com. I figured it is safer to start with a lot of colors and mix from there instead of building from scratch primary colors. They take at least two coats, so it is good to mix and save the unique colors in small tupperware.

I am using small synthetic brushes (the white kind). Just a cheap detail set. Nothing fancy.

I am using a matte acrylic finish spray that I found at Michael's. It really makes the paint look consistent without brush strokes.

The weapons were molded in the silver and bronze color like the originals. The figures were made in primer gray.

The rubs are from Reprolabels.com Fire Wood Water, and Sunburst on the Pirate Lion.

I have 10 SDs done so far, out of 20. I will post pics this weekend. The rabbit came out really good the other night. The horse is next.

Thanks for your interest, guys! :D

You have a creative mind! They'd cost too much to sell now. Parts+Paint+Hours... I'll be keeping them for the time being. Thanks for the interest though.

Sorry I have not added the pics yet!! I will soon. I've been sooooooooo busy with work and my new self-pub book.

Happy 2011 y'all!!!
