How about this: gyu-don

~ Ingredients:

- 4 cups cooked plain Japanese rice
- 1 pound thinly sliced beef
- 1 onion
- 1 1/3 cup dashi soup
- 5 tbsps soysauce
- 3 tbsps mirin
- 2 tbsps sugar
- 1 tsp sake

~ How to make:

- Cook Japanese rice.
- Slice onion thinly
- Cut beef into bite-sized pieces.
- Put dashi, soysauce, sugar, mirin, and sake in a pan.
- Add onion slices in the pot and simmer for a few minutes.
- Add beef in the pan and simmer for a few minutes.
- Serve hot Japanese rice in a bowl
- Put the beef topping on the top of rice.

Well, Karubi-don is Japanized foreign (for Japanese) food. It is derived from Korean food Kalbi. As the dish spead around Japan, the original meaning is somewhat distorted and now, Karubi means thinly sliced meat dipped in Korean style hot and sweet sauce. You can see here for good explanation.

Since I never seen Mantaro removing bone from his meat, it’s safe to guess that his Karubi-don is actually Bulgoki-don.

You can google “Kalbi” or “Bulgoki” to find out the recipe for the sauce.

Suguru loves Gyu-don and Mantaro loves Karubi-don. Hey, they are both cow and rice combination dish. :p

Or you mean cow (gyu) and noodle(udon)? That is another existing dish.
