I decided to play spoiler though and let the seller know that the items would have sold for over $600.
So if someone offered him less than that, the seller may reneg on them.
Am I an arse for it? Yeah, but no more an arse than the person who got him to end his auction early.

I find these practices ( forgive me if the term doesn't exist..sometimes, I create new words in English ) really UNPLEASANT, even if the reason are obviously understandable.
In my opionion, since someone decided to propose the seller an offer outside eBay, you did the right thing.
At least, the seller can have reasons to refuse the offer or to ask the mysterious offerer a higher price!
I hope he will decide to put sc and bhs on n auction again, also because I'm curious to know the amount of $ the auction would reach ( probably, more than 600 USD )!

I am glad my assumption was incorrect.Hi Johnny, Thanks for the info, I will be relisting them seperately soon, the set and the two rare pieces. Thanks for your interest. Doreen.
I wonder how high it will go. It looks to be mint, like the one Alex has.

Interesting how all of these are surfacing around the New York, New Jersey area in the northern states near Canada!

Johnny, since you have already gotten a response from this seller, maybe she would be more inclined to let you know where the BHS came from, 4-Pack, 10-Pack, etc...This may be a stupid question, but are we absolutely certain it isn't one of TGB's customs? Is your rare-MUSCLE sense really tingling arforbes?
Does anybody plan on emailing to ask where the seller got this figure, i.e. four pack, garbage can, Canada, etc?
And yes, Soupie, this looks like the real deal. Marty never actually made a BHS that was an exact color hue duplicate of the real Flesh BHS. So yes, my Super Rare Sense is tingling. Also, Marty never got a hold of a BHS with the center piece attached. This is indeed the real M.U.S.C.L.E. version!

Do you think the BHS is really going to sell for a lot of money, though? It seems like all the high-rollers (like Philly and Arforbes) already have a BHS, and I'm not sure if anybody else is really willing to spend that kind of money. I suppose we'll see.I decided to play spoiler though and let the seller know that the items would have sold for over $600.

Do you think she is going to relist it? The BHS? I mean why would she end the auction in the first place? I wonder if she got an offer she couldn't refuse on the BHS. Did she say when she would be relisting the BHS, if at all, Johnny? She has relisted the set with S.C. but not the BHS yet.

Looks like ebay has a new feature on reserve price auctions. It's listed now.
B.H. Sunshine
Before, even if you bid over their reserve, the bid wouldn't go any higher than what was needed to beat the other bidder. Now it goes to the amount of the reserve if you bid over.
Kewl. Anyways, my max bid is $300. If you want it more than that, feel free. I won't be bidding again.

Anyways, Johnny, any word from the seller on where she got this figure and if she remembers what kind of packaging it may have come in?
I am very curious to see if she remembers anything about it's origins.

I asked:
"Hello, I was wondering a few things about this Black Hole Sunshine figure. Is it MINT with no signs of playwear or damage of any kind? Any marks or anything obvious? Can you remember where you got it? Did it come in a 4-Pack, 10-Pack, 28-Pack? Thank you very much! arforbes"
She responded with:
"Hi Yes, the BHS is in mint condition, no playwear or damage no marks. I am pretty sure I got it in a 4 pack but it has been 20 years. Thanks for your interest."
So it looks like our little friend BHS originated in a 4-Pack if the seller's memory servers her well. This would be the same as the Satancross 4-Pack sightings that we have come across in the past! Could the rares and Super Rares all have originated in 4-Packs and were they possibly just randomly produced and thrown in the 4-Packs by Mattel?

However, such a scheme would only make sense if it was used to increase sales. Why would Mattel not have advertised the random inclusion of these rare MUSCLE figures?

Note to winner : Good job you just spent $300+ on a piece of plastic that will sit on a shelf for years then when your ancient you'll wonder why you bought it and not something that you would actually like in 30 years . rules!

I was wrong, it's a different member of the boards. The current high bidder is the same person who found the first BHS (minus the chest insert). Which means if he wins, we might see his old on up for auction...
