Selling all my Muscles from elementary school days + Satan's Cross + a few bootlegs + an "error" figure that they musty have just not poured enough Muscle goo into his mold hehe. I remember thinking it was a wounded figure or something in the 4 pack hehe.
Muscle Auction
Also, I may have some helpful info regarding Black Hole Sunshine. I had and may have this figure still, but if so he isn't mint because I remember pulling off the plug on his side in the mid-90's. For some reason, I kept him loose and all the others in a plastic bag.. why o why did it have to be him?? LOL Anyways, I moved in 2003 and there are still lots of boxes I haven't been through in the attic and such and there's a chance I still have him. Trouble is he could be anywhere though. I had no idea of his rarity or value, just found Muscle sites a month ago.
But, I can confirm that he was purchased; along with Satan's Cross in Southeastern Connecticut. At a Bradlees, Toys R Us or Caldors store specifically because thats where I bought all of them. I remember the 28 packs, garbage cans and 4 packs and I bought a lot of 4 packs. I think I read somewhere that many of the super rares were found in the Northeast/Canada and this may help that theory even more I would think.

:sings: What's it all about....Sou - pie? Is it just for the MUSCLE's we live?Wow, thanks for the info, Vilya.
Despite the fact that neither a BHS nor a SHA has been found in packaging, I've read enough personal accounts such as yours to be convinced they were packaged and sold in stores.
But what, if anything, does that ultimately mean?
...As sure as I believe there's a heaven above, Sou-pie,
I know there's MUSCLEs much more,
Super rares even non-believers can believe in.
I believe in Super rares, Sou-pie.
Without BHS & SHA we just exist, Sou-pie.
Until you find the SRs you've missed you're nothing, Sou-pie.
When you bid let your heart lead the way
And you'll find Super rares on eBay, Soupie, Soupie

the slime of all my yesterdays
rots in the hollow of my skull
they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them

I was thinking, I've never once thought about actually bidding on any of the SRs that have shown up on eBay. I didn't even purchase a set of the AKIA/TGB super rares.
On the contrary, the guys who do have them and go after them do very little speculating about where they come from.
I think my little "obsession" is really just an obsession with speculating. Case in point, check out my posts in the Creation Vs. Evolution thread and all the SW Chosen One speculating I did. Freaking ridiculous.

cool, I still kind of wonder about the Hasbro prototype thing. Looks like everybody just rejected it outright although the seller insisted she got them from her husband's friend who worked at Hasbro. I thought for sure someone would try to get the guys name/phone#/email and follow up to see if he knew anything about the origins of MUSCLE. Maybe they were offered to Hasbro, maybe they weren't but then how did he end up with them...Maybe he had a friend at Mattel he traded with / maybe he worked at Mattel for a little while / maybe he was a corporate spy who snagged them in a midnight raidI believe in Super rares, Sou-pie.
