Hello All,

Does anyone know any info on the Blackhole Sunshine Figure or his RARE other, the Ashuraman? I own an Ashuraman and know alot about it, but just want to know if anyone else knows more than I.

More importantly, how did these two figures actually become M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures when they were originally made as Kinnikuman. I know of only one Blackhole Sunshine figure. Does anyone else know of any more or any other rares?

Any info you may have to add would be greatly appreciated!!!

Wow, where did that picture come from? The plastic type and color look the American MUSCLE line.... I have never seen that figure in the kinnikuman kinkeshi.

I am going custom on Sunshine #3's arse. A little hole in his chest, cutting his right arm; moving it up, a little leg manipulation and there you have a ghetto version of the impossible to find "black hole sunshine."

It IS actually REALLY a M.U.S.C.L.E. Figure, the only one known of!!! The pic was given to me by the owner of the figure in an email. It's also on Johnny's page!

i believe johnny mentioned in a different thread that the blackhole sunshine was also a kinnikuman figure (but with some slight variation i think??) and he guessed that some Kinnikuman were probably just test marketed as Muscle in america and not produced en masse before the end of the line. and that satan cross, more so than the others, spinning head ashuraman and blackhole sunshine are examples of these. and to me, that seems a very logical explanation.....
so maybe there are more other Muscle molds out there.....

That's the explanation I believe too. I bet there is some other molds of M.U.S.C.L.E. figures that they made. Why would they only do three?! They seemed to like doing the molds with two piece figures---the Satancross, the Ashuraman, and Sunshine, all which were originally Kinnikuman.

I wonder if some non M.U.S.C.L.E. head has these and doesn't even know how much we WANT THEM!!!

Truly creative indeed. It makes me wonder if somebody didnt have a couple hundred extra sunshines, and did the same thing. We have already discussed manipulating muscles to make them unique and different from the rest on other boards, I wonder if somebody didn't do just that. I thought Satan Cross was rare, then I got three of them, two in blind ebay lots, the seller had no clue, but this sunshine character seems even more rare, I have never seen him on ebay, and I have been looking believe me. Say I had a handful of extra guys, melted them and started selling them on ebay as super rares, how long would it take for this trend to catch on. Maybe soon everybody will be looking for the super rare meat character with the buffalo man horns or something similar.

Custom figures are a HUGE market. Do it. But please, if you do. Market them as custom and not as rare.

I already have about ten figures that I changed as a kid just because they were doubles. I do not plan on marketing anything really. I was just trying to make a point. Where does this rare sunshine figure come from after 15 years of hiding, and from what I read, and have seen there are only two in existance. I assume there is some trickery involved. Even if it is like arforbes said, someone who worked at mattel probably has a box of a hundred rares, and does not even know he is sitting on a goldmine, or someone like myself got bored, and decided to drill a hole through poor sunshine.

As far as I know there is only one Black Hole Sunshine and 2 Spinning head Ashuraman.
As for the 3 known M.U.S.C.L.E. rares, they were all from the Kinnikuman Part 21 figures. There were 15 guys in that part. 9 were released as regular MUSCLEs. Satan Cross, Black Hole Sunshine and Spinning Head Ashuraman were 3 of 6 Kinnikuman in that part who weren't released on the poster, so you never know. There may be 3 more ultra rares that we haven't seen yet. By the way, the Black hole sunshine has a round tubular removeable chest insert in his Kinnikuman form.

Custom Black Hole Sunshine:
Okay, this might sound crazy....... but here I go:
1. Cut the rollers out in the square on sunshine #3's chest. X-acto knives are where its at. Leaving a perfect empty square hole.....
2. Take out a drill bit, and make a hole in the middle of the sun ray in sunshin #15's chest. Don't make it too big, or you will ruin the sun ray design
3. Now, Take sunshine #15, and cut a square around the sun ray deal the exact size of the square hole you created in sunshine #3's chest.
4. Then, all you need to do is place the square chest piece with the hole in it into the square on sunshine #3. It will be a perfect fit... just like playing with legos.....
Now, if anyone has an extra sunshine #3 and #15... I will do it myself. I can trade you for a MUSCLE T Shirt, or pay you or something. Thanks

Hello all,

I am going to contact the owner of the Blackhole Sunshine and see if he can send me some more pics. If he does, I will post them here. Maybe he willing to sell too! Yeah, right! He did say he would keep me in mind though if he did one day decide to part with him.

I'll see what I can do about those pics of Sunshine!

Hey, that BlackholeSunshine looks legit! The pose seems correct as well.. Did the MUSCLE version not come with the plug?

The Blackhole Sunshine as far as I know is totally legit. The M.U.S.C.L.E. version I don't believ came with a plug, just like the Satancross never came with a back. However, the Ashuraman did come with a head, so maybe these figures did come with their second pieces as well and we just don't know about it!!!

Here is another picture from Hireaki's site, that gives some insight into the mystery of Spinning Head Ashuramna, Satan Cross, and BH Sunshine: (Once again thanks to Hireaki). This sunshine should almost be called Sunshine Magnum, because in the manga, Sunshine's super-move is when Ashuraman punches Sunshine in the back, and a projectile (the little plug from the figure above) comes shooting out of his chest.... it is called the "Sunshine Magnum"

Does anyone own any of the Kinnikuman versions of our Super Rare M.U.S.C.L.E.'s? Maybe a Kinnikuman Satancross or an Ashuraman or a Blackhole Sunshine in the soft plastic?
