Strange, he cancelled Doc's bid, ended the auction, relisted it as a Buy it Now for Beligerent1 only for $30 but then Philly won the Buy it now...

http://cgi.ebay.com/...item=6019162288

Here's the original listing:
http://cgi.ebay.com/.....AMEWA:IT&rd=1

More drama for the Super Rares thread, eh Soupie?

Wow, this is cool...

I guess we will see it relisted as it was available to damhsl only. What did you offer him Beligerant1?

Yeah, I saw the auction first when the counter was at 2, so I emailed the guy to see if he would end it early for relatively cheap. Then Doc bid on it and I figured the guy wouldnt want to end it. To my surprise, he emailed me saying he was down with it and he ended the auction when I confirmed I would buy it from him for $30 +shipping. I had emailed Doc at this point to tell him what was going on. Then the seller started a buy it now that he said would only be for me. There was a link on the ended auction that said the item had been relisted, I guess phillymadison saw that and bid on the buy it now before the guy emailed me the item number. Since the auction was only meant for me, it is my understanding that the seller has refunded philly's money, and mailed it to me today, since he then created a third auction which I paid $30 buy it now.

Now everybody knows that I have a purple hand already. I do not intend to keep two purple hands. I only got it so that I could trade it for muscles I need. I felt that having seen it first on ebay it was my right to make an offer on it. As if it was a buy it now to begin with. I dont want to resell it for money or anything like that. Admittedly, I do feel a little guilty about getting it before someone that doesnt have one yet, but eventually someone else will get it.

heres the email that the seller just sent me:

Hello Dave,

Well, what an ordeal and learning experience…

Your MATTEL MUSCLE 4-pack (with purple claw) has been shipped via USPS Priority, uninsured.

It’s amazing all the emails we’ve received saying that we should have let the auction run its full course (or sold it to them instead…). One guy offered $150.00 instant cash. Another said we would have gotten at least $500 by letting it run the full course on Ebay. He’s the one who told us about the purple claw being so rare and valuable. So it appears that you got an EXCELLENT bargain!! Good for you!!

We’ll be happy to leave positive feedback on your Ebay account if you’ll do the same for us once your package has arrived safely.

It’s been fun – Thanks again!

Best regards,
Sharon & Greg

:wub: I am glad you got it. My bid was low just for the sake of being part of it. Like Belig says, it will ultimately go to someone who does not have one so thats cool. I am glad dude put it in the mail before someone offered him $1000 for it or something hahahahaa.

Nice score! I assume you are going to leave it packaged? The only reason I took mine out of the package is that the package was crushed and very beat up. It was partially opened so I figured why not open it. But this on is in great shape. If you can remember mine...

4 purple claws now. Not nearly as rare as we once thought. Probably much more out there. MUSCLEDB is a wonderful thing!

And I was looking at my M.U.S.C.L.E. Mega Match Game the other day saying to myself, that undiscovered Green #2 is an actual pictured figure on the front, it certainly exists too. We have just to find it.

Oh yeah, another thing. Look at the similar figures and colors in the two 4-Packs, this new one with the Purple Claw and the Flesh #177, and my old one with the same two figures. And the colors of the figures in the two packages are the same, 2 Flesh, 1 Dark Blue and 1 Purple. Only a slight variation between two fo the figures in each 4-Pack, but the same color combination. Possibly from a run of 4-Pack cases? There must be many more like this, either opened or not, but the similar figures packaged suggests that they came from cases with simliar figures in each.

Congrats, Belig.

4 purple claws now. Not nearly as rare as we once thought.

Only four in about as many years searching (by everyone). How much more rare did you guys think it was?

:D

Afterall, there are 7 documented SHAs.

MUSCLEDB is a wonderful thing!

MUSCLEDB is great, but pictures are a must for a number of different reasons (that we all know).

Why can't we -- the "official" MUSCLE community -- get our act together and get the figures documented?

:p

Sure, it would entail a lot of work, but it's worth it. People will be collecting MUSCLEs for years to come.

Jkaris, you say you have several lots of colored figures available. Could you line the lots up in rows and snap some hi-res shots? (Anybody with a large color collection could do this.) Send me the photos, and I'll digitally seperate the figures.

We could also do this via eBay.

(I was on the verge of setting something up with Sandy of MUSCLEDB. Password access, an uploading system, etc. and then poof, I haven't heard from him.)

Soupie,
What kind of picture would be acceptable? Could I possibly lay all my colored figs out by color and take a high resolution picture of them and send it to you. That way I do not have to sort through all of them, since you seem to be willing to dedicate the time to do so. Let me know more what you want, I am willing to help the cause if it does not take up too much time, I barely have time to work on my darn site recently. I am too lazy to catalog my figs in MDB but I will someday.

Hey Soupie, weren't you going to use the MUSCLE UK pix for the pink figures. I seem to recall you and Sandy discussing that in a thread?

didn't want to start a thread for this so here it goes: When I was hanging the stockings, I had to move my packaged MUSCLES and noticed there was a green claw in one of my sealed 10 pack cans :p

When I was hanging the stockings, I had to move my packaged MUSCLES and noticed there was a green claw in one of my sealed 10 pack cans :D

:D Score!!!

I had a couple claw ten packs, i think green and orange. I opened them both :D Its funny because the claw is one of the easy few figures to see in the opaque containers. I also had like 6 claw fleshy four packs, but opened them too :p . I wish now I had saved one or two of the four packs. i am sure I can find some on ebay. i think there is one now as a matter of fact but the four pack looks like shizznit. The topic four pack was sort of banged up too, i would open it.

I would definitely contribute some pictures, although I dont have that many figs, I'm not trying to get every fig in every color, I only have about 24 different sculpts I go after.

Could I possibly lay all my colored figs out by color and then send them all to you along with my packaged Satan Cross figure and all of my TGB custom figures and my comic claws and some cash and some left over chicken I had for dinner last night.

:p

Ah, sure, if you want to send me all of your colored figures, that's fine.

Ha, ha, seriously though, that would be perfect! A high resolution group picture should be good.

I'm going to go start another thread right now requesting pictures.

And yes, gilgar, Sandy had gotten permission from Tortle to use the pictures. I'm not sure what happened with that.

Shouldnt all the pictures be of individual muscles? Like if we are foward thinking, eventually it would be nice to have these picture associated with muscledb, so that if you clicked on a certain figure in a certain color, you could see its picture. Also, you could set out a naming system to easily keep track of which figures you had picutres of and which ones you didnt. For example, name the picture according to figure number and color, like for #001 purple, the name of the picture could be 001dpurple (the d is to distinguish dark purple from the light purple board game figures), and #046 light blue could be 046lblue, and so on and so forth. You will end up with a lot more pictures, but they should be more organized that way.

I'm going to digitally seperate all the figures. That's why the pictures have to be high resolution.

I have already taken individual pictures of 60+ colored MUSCLEs and given them to Sandy. (I still have copies.) It's a lot of work.

Rather than have people spend time taking individual pictures, they can take group pics and I will do all the work.

That being said, if you want to take individual pictures of your colored MUSCLEs, go ahead!

I have started a seperate thread where I will keep track of the figures and colors I have and need.

If worse comes to worse, I'll start an archive seperate from MUSCLEDB. It's not a problem.

A walk of a thousand miles starts with one step.

Say for instance you've got a mint unpunched 4 pack with
a Red Claw inside,it would be #153-R ,right?

Flesh=F
Blue =B
Grape=??.............(maybe=GA)
Green=??.............(maybe=GE)
Light Blue=LB
Magenta=M
Orange=O
Purple=P
Red=R
Salmon=S

'On Sale' or 'For Sale'. It's really the same thing! The word, 'Sale' means YOU CAN BUY IT,
not that it is discounted. We as consumers are conditioned to think"On Sale"means it's cheaper.

Okay, I'll clarify this in the MUSCLE ARCHIVE thread, but this is what I would like:

Color + Three Digit Number

Example: Light Blue #2 = lb002

Here's the color code:

Dark Blue = db
Light Purple = lp
Green = g
Light Blue = lb
Magenta = m
Orange = o
Dark Purple = dp
Red = r
Salmon = s
